3. A description of what rule they broke/how they broke it: Tried to destroy/steal my chests that I didnt private yet

I don't see anything wrong here. You had a sign on you, you could of easily made that chest private. If you trusted a player to be on your island and you don't private your stuff, then they're going to think they can use the chest. I don't see this as griefing.
