http://i.imgur.com/xIX8EYW.jpg http://i.imgur.com/h5560oR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/9dHe5ZQ.jpg I wanted to get this cleared up. So TrevorCross999 auctions 4 golden apples, he then at last second with his alt (FreePledge) bid 50000, but after he does that, someone else bids and FreePledge has just earned 50000 for making someone else bid sorta. I wanna know if this is auction scamming or not. I believe it's like it in kitpvp where you can't have a friend bid at the last second and hope that someone else /bids after you. Hopefully this will help.
@canucksfan44 @Lola Perez @PopIs_MyLife @Mega I just wanted to tell you, he is still doing it and he is making alot of money atm.
No he doesn't... He uses /bid he is not planning to bid 50000 for that... He didn't type /bid 50000 he just typed /bid which automatically goes past the highest bid... On kitpvp i remember this being auction scamming, I want to check with more of the Prison guards before I know this fully.
What I am saying is that the other player is choosing to pay this amount to get the items. It isn't scamming if theu pay for it, and they get the items.
********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Nope
People have to realise that it is not scamming. The person pays money, you receive the item. The problem is people think that to get the item they need to do /bid at the last minute to get the item- which is a common strategy. You choose to do /bid last minute without putting a money amount, you are risking losing money. Its like bidding blindly because you dont know what someone else will bid before that. It is a very sneaky way to get money, a very distasteful strategy. But its not scamming and not illegal. Unless this type of actions become illegal, there is nothing mods can do. Just warn people not to do /bid last minute.
