The player constantly harasses myself and others in chat. It is literally a constant stream of insults either geared to myself and others, or towards our respective islands and shops. While typing /ignore spares us individually from seeing it, it doesn't stop others from seeing it or believing what he is saying. It sucks you in and compels you to try and defend yourself. He negatively impacts the enjoyment of the server for many. People who originally sided with him, or just randoms on the server now speak out against him in chat. I don't know what will be done about mind_trap, but something needs to happen. Get ready for a wave of screenshots. Oh and most of these are from a single evening. Just a little background info on this whole situation. mind_trap attacks in chat unprovoked. All I have to do is advertise my shop, or talk to someone in chat and bam.... there he is with his verbal harassment. Every time. He does it to me and several other player regularly. His harassment with the average every day players seems to have increased lately as well. Anyway, as to why he hates me. Fair warning, this is going to be the stupidest thing you've ever read. So when repeating challenges got disabled people could no longer get clay by repeating the sugarfarmer challenge. Which means the currently cheaply priced clay will no longer be cheap. So I went out to buy clay so I'd have it when I needed it since it was now a finite material. I went to mind_trap's shop and started buying his clay. In the middle of buying it I informed him of the change. He came, broke the sign, and has been bashing me ever since. Thats it. Thats all I did. I bought something from his shop, and he lost his mind. No pun intended. I didn't hack him, didn't ddos him, didn't grief his island some kinda way, I didn't call his mother names in chat. Nothing remotely interesting. That is the reason he harasses me endlessly in chat and actually put a sign at his warp insulting me and "banning" me from his island. Which further leads me to believe that he needs an extended vacation from the server. @melgrath
Player has been subjected to a low duration tempban. Should they continue, the duration will be escalated. Please let me know if this occurs again.
