Unfortunately the evidence provided is insufficient.

The reason you can't hit him is because of a visual glitch. The servers thinks you're blocking with your sword when it looks you aren't on your own screen. This fixed itself when you ate a gapple

And as for the anti knockback: I agree he doesn't always take as much knockback as you'd expect, but there is no way for me to tell if your sword even has a knockback enchantment on it
