@3yerrt Hey guys, I've learnt from last time I didn't report PopIs that I need to voice my opinion on staff. 3yerrt, don't get me wrong, it's good that someone is active ish on OP pvp, but man... You need to learn that because you have a shiny red tag that you don't know necessarily 'more' then the players. Now, the mod I am reporting is obviously 3yerrt. He told me to report him as I strongly disagreed with the way he used this command. If possible, I request that @RACHETGrapess be added to this thread(Not sure if he can see this). Anyway, onto how I believe 3yerrt abused his 'powers'. I was in a Skype call wth Rachet and we were playing OP. 3yerrt said in chat "Everyone kill [insert name here because I forgot it]". Anyway, me and Rachet found 3yerrt and this person, and I started attacking 3yerrt. No offence to 3yerrt, but I basically wrecked the crap out of him. What he did was he pearled ontop of the rail of the bridge and the instant that it said "you are out of combat" he typed /god and /fly. My pearl missed, but the decor he flew one block, I tried to hit him. Anyway, I said this was abusive and his excuse to me was that he can escape 2v1s because he's a mod? Yeh, go on, say you didn't say that. I even repeated that like 10 times and he agreed... I think this is wrong. Here's why; As a default player, once getting out of combat tag(which is not very long on OP), the fight isn't over. Heck, 3yerrt should've died and I should've had my Screenie :-; A default player must atleast escape the players and/or /spawn. Both me and Rachet were astounded that 3yerrt did this, and that after he did this, he didn't care. He legitimantally told us that because he's a mod he can escape 2v1s. That is bullcrap. @ScoFu13 if you would like me and Rachet to demonstrate what happened, we will happily show you. Thanks, Gizz out.
This isn't power abuse. If you think it is, then I could have reported @VaMeSa a couple days before I got promoted because she did the exact same thing. It's not abusive because I did it out of combat. If I had of done it in combat however, then it would have been abuse. I started to get 3v1ed by you, Rachet and someone else. And 3v1's are incredibly unfair. If it was a 1v1 or 2v1 then I would have stayed and fought (Even if I died) I didn't act like I didn't care at all. This happened nearly 2 weeks ago and I wasn't. as you describe, saying "I don't care, I'm staff I can do whatever I wont". I was simply saying "That's not abusive". It's kind of like combat logging, except I did it when I was out of combat. Any normal player could do this. Once they're out of combat, they just log off and get on in 5 minutes when it's safe.
No. Now you're lying. 2 weeks ago? Yeh, no it wasn't. It was within a week, I think it was on Friday judging by my Skype calls with Rachet. It is abusive because despite the message "out of combat" you were very much in combat. You should've died, but instead you chose to use your mod powers to get out of something that a normal player cannot get out of. You did act like you didn't care. You told me to file a staff abuse report, and now I have. You literally said to me that you have /God and /fly so that you can escape 2v1s. Check the logs buddy. It isn't like combat logging. You didn't log, so don't compare it to it. A NORMAL player cannot physically escape the situation you escaped. I explained what happened to a moderator on Skype, they admitted it is abuse. What annoys me the most is that you lied in your reply. Not cool, not cool at all. Sco, I think you need to see the EXACT situation unfold before you. It was definitely abuse, and it was something that someone cannot do without their 'powers'.
A player could easily escape that situation. When they're out of combat, they just log off. I'm not lying at all. I didn't act like I didn't care. I was asking you guys to come kill a hacker so I could get evidence of him. Yet instead, you started to kill me. I pearled away, waited till I was out of combat then went into ./god mode. I'm allowed to use ./god and ./fly when recording a hacker.
You weren't recording. Your 'pearling away' was about 6 blocks away from me. I have a keen eye for hacks, and I didn't see anything.
Neither did I. I was told that the player hacks, so I went there to see. He didn't hack, but I can still use ./god because I thought he was and I was getting evidence. (Turns out he doesn't hack)
I got rid of the video because it wasn't hacks. I'm not going to keep a video of someone who doesn't hack.
I know. But there are 2 sides to this story, mine, and yours. You kinda need evidence to back up your side otherwise it's neutral.
I feel personally this is partial abuse. Normal players do not have access to commands like these. If they log out after the combat tag they run the risk of next time they log on that they may be returned into combat either from the same people or by new ones. Normal players do not get to automatically put in a command and be free of combat. This is why I personally do not pvp or really play any of the servers and strictly moderate. Thus I am always in god and fly, not abusing but strictly watching, recording, moderating. I don't expect any other staff to do this. I do not mind it but it removes the fun of the game. This being said, for those that choose to pvp in a server they moderate, you need to clearly define your actions and be sure to know when to draw the line between things you have access to and what normal players do not.
