Horsehead nebula, crab nebula, pillars of creation, whatever big asf stars died and formed the supermassive black hole in the milky way
They will always be remembered, just in a different way

well most burn out, and no one notices

there are some special snowflake exceptions

What type of stars are you talking about?
Most will eject their matter into space and make a pretty picture when they die. That has to be a really small star you're talking about ._.
