Windows 10 is sooo bad right now. I couldn't do half the stuff I could on windows 8 so I downgraded back to windows 8.
Don't get windows 10 yet

 

I highly disagree, my friend has it and it's awesome.

 

I upgraded 15 minutes ago, tried to get my second monitor working, and it wouldn't work.
Went straight back to Windows 8.1

Nothing would load on Windows 10. I tried going into advanced settings on control panel and it wouldn't load...
I do not recommend upgrading to Windows 10 from my own personal experiences.

I am not sure what kind of setups you guys have that made the upgrade so easy and smooth, but my setup requires a lot more than what Windows 10 can supply right now. I'll upgrade down the road when I know it'll work to my needs.

 

Everything you just said made me smile..... finally someone who isn't praising Windows 10.

 

windows 10 isn't graphic intensive so your statement is invalid.

anyways 10 is awesome nvidia will be releasing a fully windows 10 compatible driver updates soon for most cards. till then try the windows 8 drivers as thats the basis of windows 10. Your speeds increase and your ram amount used by the os is 4% on average.

 

wait a couple of weeks for the drivers and such to come out it will be much more stable in 2 months.

 

Windows 10 is horrible for multiple monitors.

 

Just stating my view on what has happened to me. never said others were having same problems.

its free of spyware. They have some new contracts with the governemts for key search patterns and stuff for online since their trying to force you to just use their browser. so unless your googlying how to hack the fbi or how to make a bomb your fine.

Here are some items you should be aware of. Brief summary is below.

• You are assigned an advertiserID so that Microsoft can sell your data to potential advertisers (think banners on pages, etc)
• Your data will be Synced to Microsoft's servers (This includes wi-fi passwords which are automatically sent to your contacts when they enter the range of the wi-fi)
  • This is suppose to allow your friends to connect to your wi-fi automatically without having to hassle you for a password, but not sure i trust what my friends search haha!
• Cortana will send off to Microsoft any information you use her for

It is worth noting that many of the things above you can opt out of, but they are on by default and must be turned off manually.

Just keep it in mind when upgrading.

 

I've downgraded back to my windows 7.

 

if you wish to use cortana the windows version of siri. you have to give up most of your privacy rights. I installed 10 on a netbook last night and started fiddling. It definiately is faster than 7. I didn't notice any software issues minecraft and most of the steam games I had on there still worked. My music got converted to another file type for whatever reason but i can still play them. The resulution and startmenu are out of proportion the first time you install windows 10 so all you have to do is restart. my startup time is about the same most likely due to the atom processor.

 

i will try to do window 10 on my laptop. but not sure about my pc.

 

I dual boot Ubuntu and Windows 10 ;D
Windows to play GTA, Ubuntu to play Minecraft.
