Hi,

I know that this is a stupid question to ask but will the server be available in 1.9? Because I have a minecraft faction with some friend that i play with and I want to know will the server still be available when it updates to 1.9 or will the server restart and delete everything. If you can help me with this question thank you in advance.

Mineverse will most likely not update to 1.9 right away, due to plugin compatibility.

 

Mineverse updating to 1.9 will most likely take awhile since as Zulfqar said plugin capability and switching every game mode over to 1.9. If Mineverse updates to 1.9 it'll most likely ruin pvp for some people but in my opinion it does ruin pvp. We'll just have to try it out. I'm gonna also still look forward to it updating due to playing 1.9 creative :D

 

I doubt it would because 1.9 is very, very Over Powered, and stupid

 

I have a feeling Mineverse will skip 1.9 and update when 1.10/2.0 comes out. :t:

 

Let's hope not. I rather keep it the way it is. Personally, I think it would be hard for a lot of people to get use to the new update, as well as myself. Let's keep it the way it is please D:

 

Then again, updating to 1.9 would possibly be the best for the long run.

 

We are updating to 1.9 as soon as it's possible I believe, taking into account the plugins get updated.

I'm sure as new updates come out , it takes time for authors of plugins to update them to be compatible.
With 1.9 being delayed to make it more stable, this works really well for everyone.
There is no real way to say how much time it could take or if it is even worth going to 1.9 .
The version of the game is not as important as the quality of the gameplay, and i'm sure admins have this in mind.

 

Why stop running the server? It's just an update :P

Honestly the only one who can really comment on this is cyp, noon and the devs, even if they are going to reset factions, you may as well keep playing.

But the server makes large amounts of money, and has a wide playerbase, I don't see why they wouldn't update it :D

Of course, the server will be eventually available in 1.9; but, there are constraints to this.
All the plugins will have to be updated, there will still be glitches to everything.
Though, I doubt they will do this too quickly.
