Well I'm here to start this off with why PVE servers shouldn't get mods.
A friend of mine hinted that there may be some 2nd servers in a moderator application that you may not be allowed to moderate now my guess was PVE and I'm making this thread to say exactly why I think it is PVE servers/game types.

First off hackers would feel more incline to hack on PVP servers rather then PVE because they have the chance to show and they get a reaction out of the players, If there was a hacker in a PVE server it wouldn't really do much as PVP wouldn't be enabled.

Yes there may be some greifers, Trappers and spammers but I think the community itself could take the time to report it to the mods so one could just pop on and deal with the job.

These are my two reasons why I myself think PVE servers shouldn't have Mods for the 2nd choice in a moderator application.

I agree with onion. On survival I know there are a tonne of X-Rayers.

Skyblock, Hellblock and Skygrid all have problems and rule breakers within them. You can grief on Skyblock, You can spam and glide on Skygrid and you can use PvP hacks in the Mob Arena on Hellblock. There needs to be a Moderator on every gamemode even Parkour. It may seem there are no problems on the gamemode but there actually are. On Parkour you can swear and spam. Someone could be getting heavily bullied and they wouldn't know how to report. I know there are never really any Moderators on Parkour, That's why we need more!

yeah no support your basically wanting hackers to rule the fun modes. which brings us to believe your not playing fair and trying to draw attention to pvp instead of pve the admins are working this out and are adding mods for seperate gamemodes to decrease teh hacking.

 

This isn't to separate it. its just suggesting that pve wont need many mods

 

Xray would be used on like factions which is a mixture like survival.

The servers I'm directing at is like Parkour,Skyblock,HellBlock and skygrid

 

more mods are needed on pve than pvp. We have recorders on pvp . pve alot of things go by eg: xray innapropriate builds, duping, more duping, tp killing, spawn griefing, and so many more

 

There's more skyblock.net and skyblock.org moderators than mineverse moderators. Why? Because moderating isn't all about banning hackers. It's about watching chat. It's about helping players that have questions. And also, it's about making sure that everyone has a great time on the server. A server/gamemode without mods would simply NOT WORK.
