I always try to check the forums whenever possible during school. I'll step up my game next time. Thanks, Pile.
Tbh thinking it over the role of Forum Mod seems rather useless, part of your argument is that you need to handle the help threads more.... but you're also arguing that the old staff team was active with help threads.. with your logic you're saying that the Forum Moderators would help with the Help section, this is flawed because if you were active on the server you would be applying for Moderator, thus you can't participate in the help section effectively.
I am pretty active on forums, I haven't been able to moderate throughout the server or forums because I was ddos'd for 6 days, and I'm pretty pissed about it. Canucks isn't new btw..
The staff team needs 2 or 3 mods and a good head mod now that @ScoFu13 resigned. Cyp needs to keep track of the current staff team and act accordingly to the inactive mods... If we: Have a good head mod that is active and gets a say in choosing the new mods and keeps track of his/her staff team then mineverse will be back on track. @Yin and @HeyitsAlexa are the only ones active on the forums from what I see. @fryzigg Literally logs in for 5 minutes then leaves infection...
I believe it would be easier if forum moderator was implemented. How about the people who keep complaining "mods aren't doing anything... theyre never on, and blah blah blah... " well adding forum moderator would be a great way to provide more efficiency in the Mineverse community Reason 1: Forum Moderator's Powers translate only to the forums, so they won't have to patrol the server. 2: the regular moderators wouldn't have to split their time between game and forums(though the ones that want to can), because they can rely on the forum moderators to check things. 3: thanks to the previous reason, the regular moderators would be on the Mineverse server more often and the complaints about inactivity would lessen, and overall, Mineverse's efficiency rate will rise drastically.
I disagree, the only things forum moderators would be able to do is enforce forum related rules. So they will be editing language, locking and archiving threads, deleting spam bots, giving warning points but they can't get in game and resolve help threads, can't get in game with no perms and resolve bugs and glitches, they can't get in game and handle player reports. Those three listed are players main gripe, so having forum mods wouldn't eliminate that. The mods would still have to be on the forums to work on those. Answer constant questions they are pmd about or tagged on. Having forum mods only helps with forum related things. It would not free up much time for reg mods to get in game as they will still have many duties to do on the forums. Therefore making the position irrelevant. That's why it was never added before and most likely still won't.
The amount of times having to run around in game looking for a mod. Knowing that there is a moderator sitting at his/her keyboard ready to message me back would be a relief. Regular moderators take hours to message back and can't keep track of who's hacking in game and who's needing help or spamming on the forums.
