Hey, this is just a quick request. When reporting a player, please follow the format provided by Cypriot: http://www.mineverse.com/threads/report-form.108/ I cannot stress how hard it makes our job when you do not follow this template, nor do you put the hackers name in the title. When handling a ban appeal and the banned user wants proof, we could easily type their name into the search bar and find it there. But, when you do not do this, we have to manually go through all the reports to find the evidence. Even if it's more than one person, it's so much easier when they're listed. This also makes our life's easier when we have to ban them. So please, use the format provided and put their ign in the title and report. Thanks.
The majority of people not following the format are people who rarely use the forums. You think they're going to read this?
It's worth a shot. Even if they don't read it, we still have the perms to edit it in, but it's just more time.
Look at you go!! I am so proud of you @TADS4, you are really doing a fine job. Of course I don't see everything you are doing behind the scenes but what I can see, you are killing it! Keep up the awesome work! Now on topic, I noticed with my reports that the mods have been adding the name of the player in the title, so I changed how I do my reports. Let me ask you this, what if my reports look like this 1. Dyna_Mighty 2. tads4 (just for illustration) 3. Advertising 4. my gyazo link is that good enough or do you want the whole form copied and pasted? If you want the whole form, I will be going to support your suggestion about it already being there when you click report a player.
I would always request that they use the correct template or the report was going to be set aside for those that could follow a simple template. When filing a report it is the players responsibility for putting the correct information. If you can't bother putting in that extra minute, then you shouldn't be reporting players. Moderators should not be wasting their time hunting for this information and possibly editing the original post just to make it easier on themselves.
It also makes me want to rip my eyeballs out when the reported player's name is spelt wrong. We now have to refer to the proof for the on dot names as the names provided are not always reliable. Remember, we get names like 598y5h85i7h sometimes. Don't get me wrong, it's fine but some moderators don't always refer to the proof constantly. It is just faster to have an accurate name there so we can flow through the reports. It creates UUID issues and drama that can otherwise be avoided. Well stated Tad.
