Handled What does 'discord advertising' mean

I get banned a lot for stupid stuff so does 'discord advertising' mean like saying your discord tag like name#0000 or advertising a discord server.

This is what I'm referring to:

 

This report was about someone sending a link to their discord server in chat. links to third party websites (except youtube & twitch) are disallowed.

as far as i know, you’re allowed to tell people to add your discord username (user#0000) but you’re not allowed to tell them to join your server / post invite links in chat.

as far as the mv discord goes, having a discord link in your status is cause for a warning, and posting a discord link / DM advertising (dmming people a link to your discord server) is bannable.
