This idea came up in my head and since I saw a similar thread to the one like this on Skyblock.net, why not make one here.

Mineverse, as we know it, is going downhill. No money in circulation-->no new upgrades to the equipment needed to keep it running--->Increased lag-->More people complaining--->people leave the server and find a new server to go on. I (from that one time I was on Mineverse) think Mineverse is a great server with interesting game modes to choose from, not like the other servers out there which have similar game modes.


So to increase player count we could:

• Advertise our server (not on other servers so that our players get a bad history of bans)
• Hold a fundraising event on Mineverse that would attract new players
• Lower the prices of ranks and items
• Have a dedicated channel to videos ONLY on Mineverse (and possibly Skyblock :eek
• Invest in YouTubers who can make gaming videos about Mineverse
• Add a G cheat to eliminate the most obvious hacks.

That's all I could come up with. Leave your ideas down below, if you have any :D

 

I personally think we need to revamp the whole server, and add a good working GCheat that detects the most obvious.

 

One other suggestion I have is for Cypriot to invest in YouTubers, as well as getting a full-time developer so he can fix hit detection, lag, and the server in general.

 

It sort of relates to having a dedicated YouTube Channel for Mineverse, but I'll add it in ;)

I doubt the devs on mv are as good as the creators of watchdog

You think so, i am pretty sure that Tanner and the other dev would agree. I am not saying it to be harsh it is just the cold truth

 

They could be. I mean never doubt them, they could use sloth thats a good anticheat

   1. watchdog is a term used for something that checks if something is following a set of rules, like a monitor
2. Yes, the developers would be capable of developing such a thing... Do you know anything about them? I'm pretty sure Tanner programmed the Skyblock plugin in its entirety, from scratch. Matt is just as good. Don't question their intelligence, otherwise they wouldn't be here if they couldn't program at a professional level/standard.
   1. it's not about how skilful they are, it's about how much they're paid... Hypi*** anti-cheat will have had HOURS of work put into it, meaning it requires a heavy pay for the developers...
3. GCheat is Beep's anticheat. It was offered to Mineverse once over, for 50,000... The owners kindly rejected...

G heat sucks anyways the mineverse anticheat is better is doesn't false ban.

 

Better overall management. I remember when we tried to bring this issue up before about Mineverse's administration and management; Cyp didn't want to hear it.

Mineverse had the chance to develop into something revolutionary. But that chance is gone. Noobcrew and Cyp have made and are still making their money. You have to remember that this is a business, it's here to create money; that is its main priority. From their end, everything is fine. The Server is making a lot of money, so why bother?

Just the smallest things which would take no longer than 10 minutes will make such a difference. I am so confused why they haven't dealt with this, and from what I see it as, they never will, until it is hurting the server's income. They have no reason to until it hits that point.

 

Yes, dollars. They can afford it, the server probably makes that amount in about a month or two, maybe less.
