Hi everyone! The monthly top voters competition is a race that everyone would love to win. The prize of this competition is a free rankup*. But, you can fall upon cheaters. The cheaters will limit your chances to winning the competition. This is one of the reasons why the current voting link is not functional, and a problem. In this thread, I'll be explaining the reasons why our current voting link is not functional and the problem, pros and cons of our current voting link and a solution to the problem with the pros and cons. The Problem: The main problem with our current voting link is that you can vote more than once in the same IP. That said, I could vote for myself, a alt and maybe a friend. But, that gives birth to the cheaters. The cheaters take advantage of that and vote for other Mineverse players on other Minecraft servers. Doing that will remove the players chance to win top voters, if they are going for it or not. Also, this will remove their rewards that they can get daily across the server. Pros and Cons: Here are pros and cons of our current voting link: Pros: - You can vote for more than one individual, including alts, friends, family and so on. (In your IP) - The website is smooth. - You can add a description of the server. Cons: - Contains a bit of ads. - Cheaters eliminate your chances of winning. There is only one con, but the previous is a very vital one. Solution: My solution to this problem is to replace it with Minecraft Servers List. Mainly because of voting once per IP. Here are the pros and cons of this voting link: (http://minecraft-server-list.com/ is the link) Pros: - Eliminating cheaters, and creating a friendly competition. - The website is smooth. - You can add a description of the server. Cons: - Contains more ads than our current voting link. - You cannot vote for more than one individual in your IP. - VPN's can be used, only for one person per VPN. Result: They both have the same amount of pros, but the solution has one con more than our current voting link. Yet the solution voting link has better pros than our current voting link. (In my opinion) Conclusion: To conclude, those were the reasons why our current voting link is not functional, compared to one named. I do not expect to have much support, since I've seen a downfall of the cheaters. Thank you guys! You can't vote the same person with the same IP, but you can vote a alt or two and your own account on the same IP.
When you have already voted? This works with my alt, when I vote with /vote in-game or with the website.
Forgot to add the VPN's this morning. Even though they have a VPN, they [The Cheaters] can only vote for one person, instead of a lot of innocent people.
Which part don't you understand? With my solution, you can't vote more than once on the same IP or name.
I have already voted for my alt with the current website. Maybe it won't let you for a reason unknown?
Support Although, I already thought you were not able to vote on the same IP, but I really don't know cause I always use my data to vote.
