It has a negative and a positive side. Negative: It could easily be abused due pvping. Positive: It'll be useful while watching someone hacking so they have an exact proof of people hacking. Neutral, sorry.
What do you mean I never know? They're not meant to abuse powers. That's how it is, and as you said it will lead to a demote. /vanish isn't something that can really be abused for much benefit on KitPvP, like it's quite limiting. They can what, loot steal and not get caught and ignore players? What's the incentive in that? Also, /staff would bypass the vanish anyway, telling people that the staff member is on that game mode. Game mode 3 would be better, but with that said, can't we just have a command made that turns the moderator invisible, while still allowing people to msg moderators and see that they are on the server?
Support if mods can do /vanish they can't do anything hit or anything they can just spectate any player they want, Mods can't abuse this command. @DinoDuck @TADS
Because they're not meant to. That's like saying that because they have "/ban" that they'll abuse it.. It's a stupid argument. Moderators aren't meant to abuse their powers. Yes, you have the occasional few that do, but that does not mean that the rest shouldn't be given perms due to those select few.
As Alex said /gamemode 3 would be better, It would allow mods to move to different locations quickly and if there was a sign or something that toggled it no a command this would be even harder to abuse, honestly dont know how it could be abused like this
There are enough people that got demoted after abusing the powers and abilities of being a Moderator.
Key word is demoted. Like I said, just because a select few decided to abuse doesn't mean that an idea should be discarded.. It's a good idea, and will help a lot.
Gamemode 3 won't work because you can still see names and the head. Support for /v if a mod is abusing it, why not demote. Same as flying in combat.
On Minetime, us moderators have access to /v. If you're a moderator on a server, you should be trusted enough to use such commands otherwise there is no point in you having the moderator rank. You should just be demoted. /v could be especially useful for this server because no hacks are allowed and I think it would be quite handy if it was implemented.
