So recently I was banned on Infection for using a sharp 20 bow as a human here: In my defense, how does this show me glitching it in because what if a P10 put the bow in the dispenser at the end of the round to use it in the next round when Nuketown was selected? @Charisa says, if you find one in the dispenser and use it you'll be banned. What about for players who don't know that? So you're literally going to ban players who find the bow in the dispenser and use it? That's so stupid because what the hell do you think they are going to do leave it and not use it? I think that the rule should be changed, you need evidence of actually someone putting and taking the bow out of the dispenser to result in a glitching ban.
Lets say a new player decides to join Infection and the map selection chooses Nuketown, they come across the dispenser that has a Sharp 20 bow that was left in there by a Prestige 10 to use for the next round but the new player grabbed it and started using it, it's not there fault that the bow was planted in the dispenser which would result in a ban that a player just came across.
Well, the rules say: Weapon/Armor Glitching: Weapon/Armor Glitching is the intentional action of using dispensers, hoppers, anvils, furnaces, workbenches, or chests to store human/zombie items in order to gain an unfair advantage during play. In-game: 3 day ban It depends on the context of the glitch. If you were the one to place the bow in the dispenser and use it later as a human/zombie, then I would understand. However for those who didn't know the rules they could get unbanned for explaining that and saying hey I won't do it again scenario. But, with you I'm not sure. Did you know the bow was in the dispenser? How did you get the bow if you didn't know it was in the dispenser? I think you placed the bow in the dispenser to later on pick it up and use it as a human which is against the rules. Yes, its not their fault and yes they did not know, but its still against the rules. Its as simple as explaining how they are new to the server and they didn't know the rules. They could get unbanned if they calmly explained it, but like the rules say its a 3 day ban so its not necessarily a long ban if you did get banned.
I knew the bow was in the dispenser, but I'm just trying to see what would happen to new players. It's a three day ban anyways so it's not that bad. I know you can get banned with it with proper evidence, I'm not acting clueless, if I was acting clueless I'd be demanding to be unbanned.
So, the rule is "Weapon/Armour Glitching". You are abusing that glitch even if you never placed the item in there. Just finding the item in there because someone else attempted to, is still abusive. You are still using that glitch as a means to do better.
So it's the players fault they found a sharp 20 bow in the dispenser , if you saw a sharp 20 bow in a dispenser I'm pretty sure everyone would immediately take it and use it.
Yes, it is true they do need official evidence of you taking out the bow and using it. It's still bannable though.
I don't understand how the one by spawn was removed but the one in the house wasn't removed. You should ask Pile to contact Cypriot about removing it.
i was on the game at the time. it was a false ban as you didnt have any clue on the rule for the bow and also the fact that all the reporter had to do was say you cant use that please put it back.
Lmao a rule is a rule. If you're a new player, well actually any player there is an announcement in chat telling you to check the rules. Saying you didn't know it was against the rules is no excuse. Let's put this in real life context. So a guy stabs another guy and kills him, he says "I didn't know it was against the law" he wouldn't get away with it. The main post in this thread has NOTHING to do with new players. You are acting clueless about the rule, any one can tell this because you said "how is this proof I glitches it in". You know it's against the rules but you still did it. You're just trying to change the rule so YOU can use the bow without getting banned, not 'new players who just find it'.
Like Mega_ said above the "I didn't know the rules i'm new here" isn't a valid excuse. When you play on a server you ought to know the rules.
There used to be 2 dispensers, Cyp took out the one by spawn but he didn't know about the other one. I offered to help him to fix the Infection maps, but I don't know what happened to that plan. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This is why I desperately want Infection to be fixed, not just Nuketown but all the maps (That need fixing). It would end this type of confusion of the rules and prevent people from being banned for reasons they don't know or understand.
