So jeb_ and Dinnerbone said that in 1.8 they are pretty sure on adding username changes. Well, at least 90%. If they add it, if you change your username, will you lose your donor rank? I'm just wondering I'm sure Noobcrew or CypriotMerks will give it back to you because I don't want to lose my Elite :( But I want to change my username to maybe:

I heard that you wouldn't lose the donor rank, since ranks are not given to usernames, but rather ids.
Every player has a unique ID that they get upon logging into the server, and all ranks are applied to that.

If you changed names, it should still give you your rank.
