Kinda bored and one needs to get made, so eh, here goes it. (This is only for more "main" hacks) Spider: A hack that can bypass pretty much any AntiCheat seeing as it's already derived from an existing action in the game(Climbing ladders/vines), basically the hack just lets people create an invisible ladder anywhere they want for themselves, this doesn't stop them from being knocked off, or hit. How to identify: When somebody uses this hack they're pretty easy to spot, one thing is though you have to make sure there's not anything they could be climbing on legitimately before making assumptions, also, I would try and watch them climb it instead of seeing them on something you might not be able to get to, once again, assuming isn't going to get anything done, even if they are hacking. AntiKB/Knockback Multiplier: This hack basically negates anything that would move them besides their own will of doing so, besides of course water/lava, anything a player could do to the hacker to knock him back wouldn't be effective. There's also an alteration of this hack that's been made so people can "hide" it, though it's still completely obvious unless they have their kb at very close to normal... in which case there's no point. How to identify: If somebody isn't getting hit back, but they can hit you back perfectly fine, the chances are they're hacking. Regeneration: This obviously gets caught a lot by AntiCheat plugins if regeneration potion effects are disabled, however most of the time(where this is used) there wouldn't be any need for that and it would just slow down the game, so, people get away using it where it's most effective a lot. How to identify: If you know for a fact(and can prove it) that they don't have any regeneration effects or potions on them and they're regenerating a large amount very quickly(I suggest Damage Indicator mods), they're easy to catch and punish. Fastbow: Usually never caught, literally just shoots the bow at a high speed, some clients can modify the speed, others are preset, ones that you can modify obviously get caught less. How to identify: You should be seeing about 30 arrows instead of the player ;). (Bow is shot with a lot of distance/power without any time to pull it back) AutoCrit(Crits/Criticals): Player automatically gets critical hits on you for more damage without having to jump and wait to fall back down(Some have a feature where you automatically jump up and down at a minimized height when you click) How to identify: Basically just watch particles and their lower character for any signs they're using autocrits. Nuker: Completely useless, even caught by NCP, and that's saying something. How to identify: Look for the person asking why they can't grief your server. Bow Aimbot/Trajectory: Either points your bow at somebody when you pull it back or gives you tracers for the trajectory of when you can shoot. How to identify; It locks onto the nearest person, so of course if you become the new target, the hacker's head will snap to you and you'll likely get hit. Forcefield/Killaura: Locks onto any player in the vicinity near you, hits many targets and is very, very easy to spot. How to identify: Usually you just have to go behind somebody without them knowing and not hit them... if they spin around, they're caught.(You have to KNOW they don't know that you're behind them, I recommend doing it a couple times, it will also hit you very quickly, instead of it being possible that they just got lucky. FakeHacker: Most people won't try this, but in the unlikely case they do(which does happen), the hack basically(Only on their screen) shows the player using some kind of hack, usually the hack displayed is KillAura/ClickAimbot. How to identify: Well the only real thing they can do is record you "hacking" to get you banned or something ridiculous like that, however, most servers don't accept cropped videos so this is literally useless, also, most likely the person will be in spawn when they're "hacking". XRay modification/hack: Much like a bat would see with sound what's around them, a player can see through certain blocks and to what they desire, most likely they'll have no clue where they're going besides the sight of the block they need, they can also choose which blocks are unseen/which are seen. How to identify: Well usually it would be best to just follow them around.. obviously if they're strip mining or have been mining for a while they're most likely not hacking, however it's possible. The most likely situation is they're go EXACTLY to where every block they want is, seeing as the other blocks around them are invisible while using xray, that's their only guide. ForceOP: Isn't really a "main" hack, however I had a little conversation about this so I might as well add it in. This hack isn't very common and, actually I'd be surprised if you ever managed to catch somebody using it, seeing as this is not released commonly and the people who develop it are often a little more smart than to boast it outside of their groups. How to identify: Obviously, if you're a server owner you could just check logs and your staff list for people not supposed to be there, applies to other staff as well, however to players it might be a bit of a tricky situation, you'll need to of course completely verify the person isn't a member of the staff team, which is hard to do if getting in contact with administrators is a task. The easiest way to identify this hack for players is just to get verification the person is 1) Not staff, 2) Not any associate of the server 3) Not anyone with authority in MC, such as a server host provider or staff member, after, I'd check name change history for the player to see if they're a known hacker/"unpopular" player with the staff. The final task you'd need to do would be to verify they have Operator permissions in game, also to see if they can possibly get any staff positions on server forums or any other official aspect of the server, and, though this might sound silly, *ask them* if they hacked, chances are they'll admit to it, seeing as they will either have Console access or will just be able to stall for time, otherwise just contact a server Administrator or higher about the player and let them deal with it(They can very, very easily get forced out) If you have anything else you need regarding these or other hacks, feel free to ask on this thread or PM me.
Wow I actually learned a little bit on Force OP. Interesting thread I honestly think this should be stickied.
