Wouldnt it just be easier to have trainee mods instead of jumping the gun and taking long to promote one person? That’s why it takes so long to get new staff, because we have to wait for them to be approved but if we had trainee it would be much more simple and they could earn they’re perms and be trusted along the way.
It's already pretty much like this, they get mentored and can't even do any reports or anything at all for the first 24 hours. Than for the next 4 days or a week (i forgot how long) they aren't allowed to ban unless they run the proof by their mentor first.
No. Ima support this. The staff team is terrible. not going to name any people but they need to be able to tell the diffrence from someone legit and someone hacking. so many people get false banned because you. Teach the mods what hacks looks like and a legit person. full support and teach the mods somthing thanks
Based on what @i_am_youtuber has stated, a system like this is already in place. However, having a helper rank could be beneficial, with helper added there could be no way they could abuse this system. Helpers could be promoted to mods at any time when they are deemed trustworthy enough.
Do many things a chat mod would do, but mostly just have helper as a place holder so new staff couldn't even mistakenly ban someone.
ok. i feel like we need a "screen share" system i know this was a sugesstion but so many people are getting false banned. i just got false banned cuz i too good in this game and i got denied. its honestly terrible what these mods are doing. their killing their own server its quite sad
Makes no sense. For starters this is a kit pvp server not a practice/hcf server. Secondly we would have chaos of mods freezing people all the time. Third this would require constant updating of strings and methods on every client and teaching the staff how to screenshare. I unfortunately never see this happening on here.
It takes so long because they don’t have anyone worthy enough to promote half the time. They never have a hold on being approved or not; this is mainly decided upon the head mods to choose when they need more moderators to have a promotion wave. You’re also saying that we should trust a trainee/helper along the way, but shouldn’t we have a fair judgment of their trust even before trusting them to get promoted? In a way, I can see how this could be in use on the server, but most likely not in the way you’re thinking. Either way, this would be some extra stuff that would require an already stable staff team, which is definitely not what we have on Mineverse currently. Neutral, seems reasonable
I think having new promos starting as helpers is a great idea! Support. This allows them to get used to being on the staff team before having more perms. Almost lets them learn stuff little by little.
If half mods find them worthy and half don’t, what do you do promote them or not? Instead of debating about it why not just give them helper/trainee and see if they’re worthy by having them show it. You wouldn’t have to trust them as much if it’s only trainee/helper. Meaning you could give the rank to more people rather than like three. Anyways it’s not like they could mess up or abuse if they can only do things like chat related offense. It would also help them get used to being “in charge”. It would allow the person to get more familiarized with warning people before banning them. They could work up to their privileges rather than being handed them in 4 days.
When you say chat related offenses, I’m guessing you only mean warnings and mutes, but not as far as bans. But, abuse can definitely still exist for all cases, no matter what permission can be brought upon them. Either way, like I said, I don’t believe the staff team is stable enough to have changes done to them; it’s a structural mess at this point.
What I’m referring to “not stable” is not related to what Noobcrew is spending his money to keep the server running. It’s referring to the problems Crew is not seen in the staff team since he’s not even in contact with the majority’s of them.
I love this idea I think it could solve a lot of problems regarding new mods, as other people stated it will give the new promotions a chance to prove them self. :D
For those saying they’re helpers, I don’t like that idea and I’m fairly certain an idea like that got rejected. Support, I know a lot of new mods (not just from this past wave) have no clue what they’re doing, and what the mentors are required to tell them about isn’t enough. I know if you get a bad mentor that you’re screwed, and seeing as I didn’t know what to do as a mentor, I didn’t do well training my mentee. I feel like they should just have no rank and just like run through the commands and just be given command by command to use and train with.
