Hey, so I've played Towny a little so far, and it seems to be pretty cool. I was just wondering what the best type of base would be, since it seems to be kind of Factions-styled too. Obsidian Base, Underground, Castle? Tell me what you think.

The towns are meant to be above ground. I take it as Faction style by adding people to your town, but survival style because once you claim your land, its yours.

Towny is similar to Factions. It's based on claiming land and expanding your territory!
However, the focus is not to take over other settler's land. Instead, you will settle on your own and expand by being the most prosperous town!

 

It doesn't really matter as people can't blow up your base, build whatever comes into your mind.

Yes! I'm making one of those. Getting a really good builder I know to do the walls.

 

The castles always show power, but I usually prefer to go for a simple house It's a town anyway, not a kingdom :P

I'm working on it. I'm doing the walls, then making a road, houses, and monuments.

 

If I had enough blocks, I'd make a castle in the sky
