It's kinda cute how everyone is standing up for all these moderators But when some of the old moderators (including me) got stepped on or looked down upon no one cared
Actually, from what I recall, this job was extremely easy. However it isn't for everyone. For those that say it's hard; it may not be the job for you. *Before anyone jumps to the mishap where I had Cypriot demote me; that has nothing to do with how I performed my duties.*
I don't think I have anything to do with this (Since I'm not really mentioned in the thread), but I can tell you that if you think us Moderators are not going to be making mistakes, you thought wrong. Everybody makes mistakes and once we make a mistake, we learn from them. You can't really expect us to be perfect and all amazing at Moderating but we sure can tell you that you haven't seen what we do everyday. If you think that this job is easy as pie, you're most likely wrong. We try our hardest to make this community happy and if you want that, make it a bit easier and try not to shove our mistakes in our faces, alright? c: You might tell me "If the job is difficult, why did you apply for it in the first place" Well let me tell you my friend that Moderating fills that little hole in my heart, It basically erases all the problems going on in the world for me. Most of us don't really be Moderator for power, but its because we want to help out the community and we enjoy it. I just want to state my opinion since everybody else is doing this. Kindest regards, -Emily c: xx
Not as of right now, people are starting to cause problems and start hate against other players which makes us put into more stress. But in my position right now, I'm not having any problems or difficulty since, I'm pretty sure I know all the rules and try to obey the rules completely to make the community feel fair.
Not going to go too far off topic here, but this job was hard for me. Very hard. Does that make me unfit for the job now? Say I wasn't cut out for this. Please? I handled upwards of 50 reports daily, 20 a day on average. Easy? I helped pick staff and go through application after application Only to get a handful of the apps I picked actually chosen for staff. Still easy? I would get on Cyp's case almost daily on bug fixes and player resets on creative. Sometimes being in calls with him over 3 hours long. This is after my 8 hour shift at work and fixing my son dinner. How about now? I dealt with staff drama and fights within the team and had to find solutions to make things stay smooth. The emotional up and downs were just a small part of what my position called for. Easy for you? It's not the same experience for everyone. You can't say it's easy for everyone because it was for you. That's unfair. We all are different, and we all have our own things going on irl. This team lacks in training and experience. They have no guide to follow and no example to lead them. They have 1/4 of the tools that you were given and to hang them for that is unfair.
