In advance: I do not care how much hate I get for this, and I will not be stating moderator names, only player names. Dear mods, When I wasn't ip banned just forum banned, I watched over the forums, seeing new mods getting promoted, maps adding, and things fixed. When I became ip banned, nothing seemed to happen. The forums went quiet. One of the things I noticed about the mods was lacking of rule knowledge, being abusive, and being extremely biased. When I came back, I would have thought this would've changed, but no. None of this has changed. Let's talk about each point I stated, starting with lacking of rule knowledge. Most players know the rules, and you would expect moderators to know them as well. Right? Well not in this case. As I was watching the forums, there was a thread closed for being "grave-dug," when it was a suggestion. A player was banned because of a mod not knowing the rules. Now the rules clearly state that grave digging does not apply to: Introduction, suggestions, moderator applications, and help. In this case, a moderator with experience did not know the rules. Obviously they need to re-read them. Now we go onto being abusive. This part involves a thread that was recently made, and a moderator (who is hiding) who deleted it. This thread was posted by @Herf as a Pony fan club. Nothing in this thread was a problem. The only main problem existed within the comments, which is where players began to flame. The correct response As a moderator would have been to lock it and archive it, but instead they deleted it. Since the thread was causing now harm to anyone, I am requesting it to either be brought back, or the moderator fess up. The final part to this thread is about biased moderators. This is the one section where I will tag moderators, as we can not stand this. The first offender is @MaxNinja10 with his ban on @anna and only a mute on Climax. Anna had only said that Climax had no friends, while Climax said that her life was sh-t and everything in her life was sh-t. He said that about eight times in one post, yet all he got was a forum mute. While I understand Anna had racked up some previous warning points, Climax got away easily. In this case, Max was being biased towards the community hated person, Anna. The second example I have is Gizzbotts. In this case, Gizz is extremely biased towards his friends. All he seems to care about is Jolie. All his posts about it make it seem like he's in love her. If he had to make a ban on her, he probably wouldn't. The only positive thing I can say in this thread is, Zambina is our last hope. He can shape up the staff team on the forums. Now this is my view on it, if you disagree, comment why below. Before a moderator closes this, state why you are closing this. This thread is in no way: harming anyone, being rude, or failing to adhere to forum rules. You better have a damn good reason to close this.
1. Why would this message get deleted? 2. I deleted the thread. Herf even knew it was to single out pony and disrespect him. There was a problem with the thread. 3. Max's infraction on climax was his own, the mute wasn't his infraction. 4. A suggestion can be locked when it is not needed anymore.
1. Because half of the staff is literal trash and can't handle hate. 2. You had no reason to. Nothing happened yet. Maybe all he wanted was a fan club.. 3. If you say so..
1. There's no hate in that. 2. That's not a 'fan' club, he's clearly just trying to be funny, and he knows it. 3. I could probably get the mod who infracted to reply to this thread owning up to it.
1. But it's stating how they're biased, abusing, lacking of knowledge. Maybe we should get someone to teach the rules one by one to all the mods. 2. It's a thread about a fake fan club. Unless he made it that bad, there was no need. Freedom of speech in America, and it was off topic, lol. You can post almost anything. In that scenario, all that needed to happen was the thread be locked. It did not deserve a deletion. Threads like that are meant to bring joy to the forums. 3. Please do so.
Actually, Prin is right. Herf is actually one of the people who only mean to tear me down. So I have to take Payne's side on it
While I do understand Herf's intent, there was no need to delete it. That type of thread needed to be locked. Only admin should be able to delete threads. At this rate it's extremely annoying, the fact that it's more than the mods listed here.
I'm just going to get in before the vituperative moderators who will obviously jump the gun and rush in headstrong before even reading the first sentence because they cannot handle constructive criticism. I would simply be lying if I said I don't expect it, the moment moderators begin to post they will be in a fetal position and be full defensive. I've been on this staff team for about four days and I can already see rather clearly that they're not apposite for Moderating. I wish I could say that more than half of the staff team had the proper decorum and etiquette to be a moderator, but they just simply don't. They act first, then think.
Max wasn't the one who muted Climax, I did. I realized I should of infracted him with a one day ban after giving him the mute, but that whole situation is long gone so I can't go back and change the infraction.
Thank you! Someone who knows what they're talking about. See, it's a lot better when a mod confess to their mistake, now we have people blaming other mods for others mistakes. Maybe if they clarified this in the beginning none of this would be happening.
You have an extremely good point, back when I joined this server all the mods were pretty much good. But now... my god it's changed, can we add banana to this list of horrible mods?
This isn't about the horrible mods. It's about them being abusive, biased, and pretty oblivious when it comes to the rules.
Well, for some it may, and for others it might not. For Nana, the only bad thing that I can think of that he did, was leak staff info to his brother.
