Furyion, you know I've always respected you and your opinions as a member of the staff, but this situation isn't about the players with relevant information or the players who are truly being helpful. This was about the players tagging people or throwing in their opinions on things they aren't involved in. If someone IS able to shed some light on a situation that can be proven and is legitimate the staff team has ALWAYS welcomed the assistance and the information, but it has to apply to the given situation. When a player is reported for hacking, someone throwing in proof that they were swearing a few days later isn't relevant to that situation and a different report should be posted, etc. They give as much leniency as we can with the issue knowing many of our players are young, but so many of them explicitly know better. I hope this has sufficiently helped you better understand the need for this thread.
I think if players want to help the moderator it's fine. It's only a friendly helpful act, not a crime. Then if the moderators don't need help, then no harm done. The moderator can just state they don't need help. Then if they want, they can seek help in their own ranks. But what I don't understand is why a rank should prove anything in anyone's capability.
The problem is when players start saying they know more than Moderators, so therefore they don't have to follow the rules like everyone else, *cough* @TheHiddenOne143
I say this because it's true. I can name 5 moderators that know what their doing. But that list I'll keep to myself. Don't make it a secret yes that exactly what I think. Tell the world please I want you to
Moderators are promoted because they know what is going on, the problem Is when things change.moderating is a constant learning curve
I want to note that this isn't about being helpful to others, nor about helping us in some means. This is about you guys thinking you are helping AND breaking our rules. On the forums, unless you are involved then posting in ban appeals and reports is worth warning points. Many of you fail to realize this and scroll through them to tag us or remind users to use the templates. While this is an honest act it is also a violation. Those of you making arguments that we are asking you to not help at all need to go back and re-read my original post that keeps to the spirit of the message. If you wish to help, do so discreetly. As far as the staff, we ALL know what we are doing and we ALL take our jobs seriously. If you don't agree message the mod in question privately, but be certain to be courteous and polite. If that doesn't fix it bring it up to a well known staff member or even to Scofu, whom was promoted to handle these types of situations. I'm not asking you guys to never be helpful, just to do it in the right ways.
This is something new to me even though I've been one year at SkyBlock forums. I've never seen any warning points from posting in Reports.
