Hello everyone! I'm tippertopper, what you're about to read is my moderator application. Before I start answering any questions I would just like to say a few things. I found out about your community on an advertisement on a website. When I saw the section where it says what the server provides, I knew it was a strong and friendly community. I joined, and my guess was spot on, your community provides a strong and friendly place to socialise in. I'm so glad to be a part of it. So, let's move on to the questions! General Questions:How old are you? I am currently 14 years of age; born on the 6th of December 1999. How long have you been playing Mineverse? I have been playing Mineverse for a day. This may seem silly to apply so early, but with all the help and support I've been getting I know most of the general things about Mineverse. I created an introduction earlier on in the day. If you want to go and read it, feel free, you will find out all about me. Although I have only been playing for a day, I have had help from a lot of in-game friends. In the day I've been playing Mineverse, I have started working on an 'Iron Challenge [parkour course]' If you would like to go and check this out, to see how much work I get done in a day, feel free - I give regular updates. Also, in the day I've been playing for, I have moved and played on all of your mini-games. My favourite so far is kitPVP, and I've played that for a good hour today. I have spent a total of 7 hours on your servers and your forums today. I don't have many posts, I know, but I have 13 positive ratings out of the very few threads I've posted. I have really enjoyed playing with the community today, and that is why I'm applying for the moderator position so early in. I hope you don't mark me a (-1) just because of this. I have gained a lot of experience today and hope to gain more over the time I'll play with you. What is your in-game name? My in-game name is the same as what is here on the forums, tippertopper. What time zone are you in? As some of you already know, I live in the UK - United Kingdom. My time zone is GMT +00:00 What country do you live in? I live in England, the UK. What languages can you speak? I can obviously speak English, I am English. However, if there is a player who is Spanish, I could try my best to help them out. I'm not the greatest at Spanish in my class at all though, but I can speak quite fluently to people. Have you ever been banned from Mineverse before? No. As I say, I have only been playing for one day on your server. For the records, I don't plan to either. I am a kind and mature person, I do not find rude or offensive jokes funny, whatsoever. Many 14 year olds can't stop saying: 'that's what she said!' I, however, have never said that. I am very self-disciplined when it comes to those sort of things. I don't see the point in spamming, either. Why would you want to ruin somebody's day by spamming the crap out of them? Also, I would never use hacks, I wouldn't know how to! The sad thing is, other people do use them and get the community a bad name. That's also why I would love to be a moderator - To help the community flush the rule-breakers away. How active are you on the servers? Well, as I mentioned several times earlier. This is my first day on the server. However, I have played for a total of 7 hours today. On normal school weekdays, I can play for 2 - 3 hours per day. On weekends, I can play up to 6 hours per day. Today, however, it is the school holidays for me, so I got to play for 7 hours. Only school holidays - which as many of you know, aren't very often, I get to play for about 6 - 7 hours per day. Sometimes I only get to play for 1 hour. This is because I have to be excused for life events, (yes, I do have a life :D) and get in late. Therefore, I get limited time as I have to have dinner also. Over the next couple of days I can play for up to 7 hours, but still have a large sum of homework building up. I'm indeed 14, so the homework is starting to increase. Why do you think you should become moderator? I think I should become moderator because I love to help the community out. I would like to help get rid of rule-breakers once and for all! I hate seeing hacker, spammer, advertisers... etc. I would also like to be moderator so the rule-breaker will listen to me when I tell them to stop. I know what to do in different situations and would love to help! So that's why I think I would make a good moderator and help out the community. Have you got any moderating experience? I don't have any moderating experience. However, I used to play on other servers, like you they have a good community. Whenever I logged onto one of their servers, I watched how the moderators worked and dealt with different situations. I do know how moderators deal with different situation because of this. However, as I always say, everyone has got to start somewhere! Additional values and questions:If I'm promoted to the moderator position there is a few extra things I could bring to the table. 1. I'm kind and treat everybody equally to the best of my abilities. 2. I'm mature and would never gang up or cyber-bully others. 3. My grammar is outstanding compared to some other people in a similar age group to myself. 4. I would not take advantage of my powers, even under the circumstance of bribery or pressure. 5. I like to communicate and learn about different people. 6. I have lots of respect for everyone. 7. I am courageous. Situations: How would you handle someone making a minor transgression for the first time? I would personal message them politely using /msg and tell them that what they are doing is wrong and they're risking a ban. I would screenshot the rule-breaker and kick them off the server. I would report them on the forums. How would you handle someone making the same transgression a second time? I would screenshot the rule-breaker once more and remaining polite I would tell them what is going to happen. I would then temporarily ban the player, the time may vary considering on what the player has done and if they'd learnt anything from the last time they were kicked. How would you handle someone making the same transgression a third time? I would screenshot them once more and immediately ban them from the server. I would report the rule-breaker on the forums with my screen-shotted proof. I would just like to say a huge thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for moderator! As I say, even though I have only played this for a day, I feel as if I'm mature and know enough already! So please don't let that change your mind about my application! I would also like to apologise for the last part where my writing is underlined....
