I won't be online for a while, maybe a day, maybe a week, this is why; I had an error when trying to start up minecraft, it removed my shortcut and I had to reinstall, but when I tried to install minecraft I got this error: https://gyazo.com/f9b178d8a063ed5f43d9811761ab07fc It seems as though the file is missing, I have no knowledge of how to fix this, if you can help, please do. Anyway I'll be back in time, bye P.S. I'm using windows 10 with 64 bit java.
I'm the only one on the PC, I have admin permission and I've set windows to open such files with asking for permission.
what windows are you running on , because that doesnt look like windows 10 more less windows xp trying instead of installing as a exe instead choose the other windows option, also try using a 32 bit internet to download it also, try dont give apps administator unless very needed like cmd for a hard reset hmm also maybe try updating youre drivers. i dont know that really doesnt look like windows 10 oh wait maybe update wizard i donno it looks not like windows 10 try these ideas and if they dont work then i suggest sending a email with this screenshot to mojang
auccually now that i recall, i belive that that has something to do with the excoding but, maybe windows would be more help because, this relates to a problem with me and windows 10
if the minecraft exe downloadable file has a bug and u run it on administrative, you know things can go bad fast. that can cause more harm then good also try to maybe reinstall the other file i donno i dont want ur computer to get a virus :/
Mojang is a secure website when downloading, or browsing in general. If he didn't download the launcher from a 3rd-party then he should be fine and there shouldn't be any bugs. It'll be down to his own PC, nothing to do with the file.
If you are just gonna guess at a fix, don't bother. I've tried most things, I need a way to definitely fix it.
that is very true but probroally every 1/1000 times u can get that small bug so.. maybe run through windows defender first if it goes clear then run as administrative
wasnt it I who figured out these ideas? is it not or are you taking credit for some of them. or are you trying to spell check me to like "em-barres" me or something?
Stupid question, but have you tried looking up on the internet for a solution the problem? Im not that smart with computers, but I tried!
This stuff stresses everyone out, even mojang: tedious as HECK Its fine and also sorry i got a bit salty originalmike its just i get frustrated to.
