Although his app was a bit short, it doesn't mean he didn't say what needed to be said. Also, this is the correct template. He had 5 different reasons why he should be mod, not why he wanted to be, but obviously he wants to help the community and take the load off the staff members. (I say obviously, but some still won't understand this.) Lastly, as Logan said, he can't have moderation experience if he isn't given the chance.
