It's SO much easier if you just get into a call with a new moderator and share screens. That's exactly what @Pile_of_Butts did when she trained a Moderator.
It would be more just for communication purposes, also, the Teamspeak question is just in case they wanted to have a rank on TS(I'm assuming Cyp wouldn't like mods bugging him about it after he gave them the choice)
I don't want to go too far off topic but when I was staff here I had a few dedicated staff members that would get in calls with the new promotions the day they got promoted and would show them everything from forum work to ingame commands. Grayson even went as far as to make a separate Skype group for the new mods where he and a few of the other mods could answer questions for the newbies and take some of the work off my plate. Skype is a necessity. (IMO)
Skype is useful in a way but to call it a necessity when there are probably some good applicants who wont use it or cannot get it is a bit far, which if people wish to say they have other forums of communication, it shouldn't be used against them in any form. So say omitting it and specifying the best form of communication after promotion may help in the training process. But thats just what ive picked up from all your opinions. I still don't think its necessary, but it has some use after promotion.
[Attention] The reason I made this template wasn't because I "didn't think the old one was good enough", Noobcrew did do a decent job, but honestly his format doesn't really allow you to express yourself as a person like this one does. I am in no way saying that you can't add your own questions in, I have in many applications of Crew's servers, but it's the fact that people don't, not the fact that they can't, so yes, Krystle, of course they're open to adding they're own questions, but I mean, people don't tend to show much of themselves excluding their introduction, it doesn't show the real person they are and what they'd be suitable as, a player or a staff member.r
wait...you know my name? But anyway wouldn't it be better for people to think outside the box and add personality instead of being spoon fed in the template? Using initiative would be a good trait in a mod so maybe they can show it in a template. Crews template was always basic and probably for a good reason. Its simple enough for any player to use, but still open enough to add information that you want to as well. Yes you are not changing it but rather giving a different take on a template which I still feel you would be better off making a guide rather than having this as a suggestion.
Well, everyone always spits the same "use the format or your app won't be considered", which may prompt players to only stick to that format. Also, yes, I do, we used to be good friends.
Ughh I wish you two were still mod. This would be highly useful and important to help the new mods out.
This is very informative which is good to get to know what the moderator can do for Cyp to judge. Support.
