Ok, I have little time, cause school and all... yeah... but... here's a suggestion. When staff respond to reports, they usually get responded to in waves. When that happens, all recent threads get bumped off the recent threads list for a section of reports that 90% of forums people don't even look at. My suggestion to keep other forum threads active and to reduce the amount of times someone may need to bump their post to get attention (for the players who aren't well known enough to get their threads bumped by other people) is to disable recent thread notifications for reports.
He is asking to reduce the ''bump'' thing to less then 24 hours cause of all the reports that take over the ''Recent Threads''.
Nah, I'm asking to disable the recent thread notification for reports when they get responded to I don't see why we need to see other people's reports if the staff info thread says that they DONT LIKE TO MAKE PUBLIC any bans or reports
Idrk but I'd much prefer having no report threads flood the recent thread section, I normally use it to see any threads I should look at Support
Support. The only people who really need to look at reports are mods, so if possible, maybe it can be changed so only mods can see them in recent threads? Either way, the mods check the report section often. Report archives are visible to players so if for some reason they want to see a certain report (or to look through them) they can look in the archive section.
They used to not be shown because archived reports used to be hidden to non-staff members. But then people started complaining that mods didn't do anything, so Cyp made archived reports viewable so everyone could see that the staff actually do stuff. That's how the story went if I remember correctly. It's funny how the community wanted to view archived reports, and now it doesn't. I guess this is an instance where the phrase "Be carefully what you wish for" can be used.
My point is that this was not a problem until the community got what they wanted, in this instance viewing archived reports. I honestly see no problem with this, but the people who do brought this up on themselves. Yes it can be fixed, but who knows, maybe people won't like the way things are fixed. It's happened before. Changes that are made can't always satisfy everyone. There are probably some people who do like seeing handled reports in the recent threads section. The easiest solution for this is just for people to look at the forum list and look around at the recent threads, more threads can be seen in this way anyways. I don't see why this would be so hard for some people to do.
