Well, this is a very popular game on servers, but because Mineverse does not have it, allow me to introduce it. SSM or Super Smash Mobs is a minecraft pvp game based off of Super Smash Bros. The idea of the game is relatively similar, you pick a class or character, you get special unique powers, and you fight on a map to be the last one standing and win. Instead of classes like Mario and Kirby, change it to minecraft mobs, such as Villager, Spider, Skeleton, Enderman, Creeper, etc. What I feel should fit quite nicely into the pvp is that each class gets 3 unique abilities with cooldowns, 3 lives, and some armor, and instead of picking a class and you just get armor, you should implement a way to physically become the mob when you choose your class. A few ideas would be such as the Skeleton The Skeleton's weapon would be a Bow with Infinity (Put arrow in an upper bar where it cannot be accessed) The Skeleton's 3 abilities would be: Stringed Arrow (By right clicking the arrow in your bar, you will allow your next arrow that is shot, have an invisible string attached to it, which pulls you toward the destination your arrow has hit) Bone Explosion (By right clicking the bone in your bar, your skeleton will explode bones, as big as the bone if you drop it on the ground, in a 5x5 area and if a bone hits a character, it will do 2 damage and 3 knockback) Arrow Sharpener (By right clicking the flint and steel in your bar, you will allow your arrow to have Power II for 5 seconds, I know it seems like a small amount of time but just try counting to five and you'll see how much damage it can do.) The Skeleton's armor would be up to you, as long as you make all the classes relatively balanced, such as high attack, low health, or high health, low attack. Also, try and make the maps in the sky so you can die by falling. Of course, there are still many things I haven't discussed but I'm sure you get the hang of it. I know this will probably cost money (idk) but it might and if it does I can see why this wont be implemented, because many VERY popular servers have this. To make this clear, THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE, any things can be changed if needed.
