That'd just kill the afks. Any zombies actively playing wouldn't get hit at spawn if they move, the respawn lag protects them.
I reckon maybe at most 2 seconds or 1 second of spawn prot just for the rare occasions when there is a spawn killer.
At the state Infection is in right now, spawn killing won't be a problem. Too many prestige zombies for it. Any attempt of spawn killing would be futile. The reason spawn protection was added was because the games with spawn killing went like this: "1 person is alpha. Alpha gets 1 or 2 kills. Those 2 or 3 zombies get spawn killed and usually end up leaving after dying 5 times. Game still goes on for another 4 minutes with 0 zombies and 30 Gods/Titans waiting at spawn". That's not how the games go anymore, and not because of spawn protection but because of prestiges. Even after spawn protection was added, group of donors were still able to successfully spawn kill. It wasn't until eggs (maybe even fire aspect) when spawn killing truly ended. And now dozens of people have access to eggs(and more) preventing spawn killing from almost ever coming back. (Almost. No guarantees)
I agree 100% but there can still be chances of spawn killing possibly from people with teams and with 1 or 2 seconds it wont affect any camping spots near spawn
Just my opinion, but the small percentage of times spawn killing might happen would actually improve Infection. It would give a new way of playing instead of all the camping and ratting. It'd introduce a fast paced pvping style of surviving. Spawn killing isn't in favour of the humans, it's actually in favour of the zombie cause of the unlimited respawns, but also, once the spawn killers are dead there's more zombies to get the "hard to reach" campers. It seems like you're really stuck on the 2 seconds, so I won't try to change your mind any more. I've put all my points forward letting you and others know points/facts you might have missed. Good luck with the suggestion. I do wish to see it implement regardless of the final outcome.
I also agree with that, that would definitely make the games more fast paced for sure and it shouldnt be op considering you get to respawn right on the human.
Some maps like nether and biomes kind of rely on spawn prot in order to allow zombies to get up ladders but on others I can see what you mean. Still, support.
Yeah true indeed, spawn prot is a counter for bow spamming but like juhler suggested that they make the prot time different for different maps such as nether kept the same. Thanks for the support! Thank you storm! Appreciate the support porky!
