This is really such an invalid reason... Playing on a server, especially PvP gamemodes, means that you... well... play! You enjoy your time there, interact with others, and do what the gamemode is designed for you to be able to do. PvP! If you got killed in-game, I don't see why not giving back armour is a valid reason for not supporting (as long as there's no previous deal that you're going to give back armour).
