      Hello everyone,

      I thought there is a need for this thread to be created, as we are getting more and more spambots everyday. It is very annoying that this happens, and I wanted to make sure that you guys knew what to do when this happens!

      Forum SpamBots:
      Forums SpamBots create threads advertising websites, videos, etc. Moderators delete these threads on sight and ban the account permanently. They usually look like this;

      Most of them do not contain a YouTube video of some sort, just be on the lookout for these.
      When this happens, we expect you to report the bot ASAP with the reason, "Spam-Bot".

      In-Game SpamBots:
      In-Game SpamBots are much more "spammier". They usually join at the same time and flood the chat is similar messages. Here are some examples.

      When this happens, please go to a staff member as soon as you can. The staff member will most likely get more on to handle the situation. If they do not answer, go to another staff member. If the staff do not answer, unfortunately you have to report the spam bots and wait until they get banned. Sorry about that.

      Thank you for visiting this thread! :)

      It's also more convenient when you report screenshots of the legitimate spamming, not them joining. I would hate to lobby ban a new player to mineverse because they coincidentally joined at the same time as the spam bots.

      on skyblock when we get spam bots on forums, we delete the thread and move to archives, and perm ban the user.

      because the bot will keep spamming on an on.

      also unfortunately, banning in-game bots wont help. because if it's a bot, it has to have vpn and vpn means they can keep doing it, no matter how many times you ban them.
      lol my bad, i didn't read the whole thing, just read the report part xD

      I'm not going to tell you how to program them...

      Otherwise, SpamBots are one person controlling alts from a program to flood the chat as much as they can.

      This happened to me on another server once. The spam bots joined, and they all said my first and last name in chat saying some nasty things about me. It would be sad of this were to happen to anyone here.
