      Hei guys, Yin here.
So there's been a problem I've had that's lasted on the server for quite a while, and I think it's time to solve this problem. The Flint & Steel; which I'll refer to as F&S, seems to be deactivated, meaning you can place it down, but it goes away immediately, regardless of material or rain. Don't believe me? Here's a video of proof

Sorry for the weird background music, and I know I can use a flame charge to light the nether portal up
All I'm asking for is to enable the F&S to ignite properly. That simple. If it's a plug-ins fault, then we can just find a way to resolve it.

But wait, then griefers can easily burn down a persons base!
Well, this can easily be resolved. For one, we have sponges, why not save some emeralds up, or trade for them? Sponges aren't working for you? Why not make your base something inflammable, which I highly recommend, since the inflammable blocks are more versatile than the ones that can be set ablaze, so if a creeper or an explosive ignites, you don't have to do as much cleanup.

Secondly, Cyp or Noob can easily do /gamerule firetick false (correct me if wrong), to the Skygrid server. Not only does that get rid of the spreading of fire, it can be used as decor. The only downside to this part, is that it can be used to damage players, and get rid of their jumping abilities if they are block-leaping at that moment. However, I believe the pros overcome that one con.

So, that's the idea. For those in a rush, I encourage you to at least read the griefer paragraphs, and this list of pros and cons.

      Pros
      • An alternate and easier way to light up nether portals
      • Decoration for that dream fireplace ;)
      • Help you get creative with redstone builds, such as mob traps
      • Cooking Ms. Piggy for some easy cooked porkchops.
      Cons
      • A way to damage players.
      • Blazes/ghasts are slightly harder to fight
If any other pros/cons arise in your head, or you have an alternate suggestion, you're encouraged to speak up (don't worry, we won't laugh if it's dumb or incorrect :)). Other than that, thank you for reading, I'd love to see your say for this suggestion.

no support you could just put it in a dispencer and light it that way. That makes it light the portals and makes a nice automatic fire place.

Still would be nicer if you could just make a F&S, and not have to use redstone, cobble, and more iron, just to do a few jobs

You could use fire arrows using normal bow and a wall of lava.

Again, far more convenient if it was as simple as placing one little fire down. It's also far easier to clean up if a mistake is made, and far safer.
