Should Survival be reset?

Its gives new comers a chance to be able to build close to spawn, because they might not know the commands yet and will lose there build if they are to far away, which results in them possibly quitting, which leads to less people and that means that the server could die out. Boy that was a mouth full, or keyboard full, Ha Ha Ha I crack myself up (im not funny)

 

Well i asked Duckle_tha_Duck and he said "quack". and that means NO YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME! I HAVE BUILT A DUCK STATUE THAT TOOK ME 5 MONTHS TO BUILD AND NOW YOU SAYING IT WILL BE GONE!!!?!?!?!?!?!:mad: well anyways, he WAS pissed. so NOPE

 

I personally think it should not be reset, me and my friends have worked really hard on the survival server and reseting it is pointless...

 

Reseting it will help all the new comers to have an easier time finding a spot to build instead of going thousands of blocks out and right when you walk out there it looks awful, not a very promising sight.

 

They only reset if there is a massive terrain change.

 

To be fair, yes and no. Yes, it would be nice for newbies to make a home near spawn or something and it would be a nice little refresh for everyone ( especially me, i suck at this . And then comes the no. It wouldn't be fair for the people who made castles and houses and villages that took lots of their time. it would be like making the biggest faction on a server then the owner or a mod comes along and resets everything so that you lose all your hard work. Just my standpoints.

 

Does this mean regardless of this pole, survival probably won't be reset?

 

I don't think so, no. Maybe 1.9, if they add like a new biome.

 

I think their adding a clay biome.

 

That already exists, its called the mesa. Pretty as all hell.

 

Mesa: Bryce is so cool. Personally I like. The Ice Spikes biome better, but they're all amazing.

I say, HECK NO! people have worked hard on builds (personally me) its not fair to them or anyone else to have their work destroyed when what they had been working on it and it took hours (some times days or weeks) just because people don't want to actually look for ways out of the destruction around spawn. there's tons of free space once you get out away from spawn it may take a while to get to it but if the person isn't willing to put the effort into getting to a clear piece of land then they shouldn't really come to a really crowed server.

 

Sorry to kinda bump this/bring it back, but personally I don't think it should be reset. Factions was reset either for the update, or that it was getting too crowded. You'd walk right out of spawn and the first thing you'd seen is the huge NASA building covered in lava and blocks. Survival hasn't been around long enough for people to crowd it.

 

I don't like when servers are reset. Like in Factions, due to the new update. Everybody had good stuff, a good faction, a well-developed base, and lots of progress made. When the server was reset, everyone was begging just to join one faction and there weren't many.

 

People work hard to get what they have now. And then a server just takes it all away? That's retarded.
I personally, and all my friends we work hard for what we got on mineverse. Because we like it. We settle down on a server for once. Build happy. Make money. Make farms, redstone creations. Make villages. And then in just one day it all gets taken away from us? Just because of 1,8? Add a part of the map then. Resetting it would be retarded honestly. Don't reset the map if you want to keep your work. Vote No.

 

No one deserves to lose there buildings, but its for the greater good, New comers deserve a chance to find a good spot where the ground isnt Filthy looking, and i think, personally it would be a new experience instead of the same stuff everyday, that's my opinion dont hate me :P
