Your in-game name: Shottey What timezone are you in? Eastern Time Zone What country do you live in? Canada What languages do you speak? English Do you have 2FA enabled? Yes Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc) Bandicam, Fraps and Gyazo Why do you think you should become a mod? I think I should become a Moderator for these reasons: Experience I am very experienced when it comes to Moderating as I’ve been constantly Moderating on servers for the past year and a half now, I will not be new to this and I know the difficulties on becoming a staff member, especially on a bigger server like this. I know most if not all the commands that a staff member needs to know. I know staff members can get a lot of hate from false banning people to muting people and since I’ve been moderating for a while I’m used to the hate that I would get so I’ve learned to ignore it and it wouldn’t really affect me. These forums are very familiar to me, I know how to use Xenforo forums and how to moderate on it. Also, my entire time playing Minecraft (4 years) I’ve been a PvP’er. Having said that I am very good at identifying hacks and I can usually tell if someone is hacking or not, I know pretty much what all the hacks are and what they do. Even if I can’t tell if someone is hacking I have a secure alt that I usually play on where I can fight them myself and get a better viewing angle to see if they’re hacking or not. Organized I am very organized with my bans and mutes. It has never been a problem with me where I’ve struggled to find my evidence if a player appeals for a ban / mute. I always log what I do in-game if it’s using my ban logs to keep track of the hackers I ban or using a text document and / or Google Docs to record my mutes. Game Sense Playing and watching Minecraft for years now I have quite a lot of game sense, I know mostly on how the game works and what to do if something is broken and / or wrong. In the past I’ve played almost every gamemode so I can help more players out if they have questions on game modes and how things work. Friendly I’ll respect you, if you respect me back. Most of the time I won’t “hate” or “dislike” someone. I don’t hold grudges on people as I find it very hard to do so in-game and in real life. If you get me angry and / or piss me off I’ll probably forget about it later on in the day. If you get to know me I’m really nice (I think so at least idk you tell me) and at first I might come off as “scary” but trust me, if you get to know me I’m pretty nice. Activity I’m very active on Minecraft, I’m usually always on my computer (that’s bad I know) and I would be able to Moderate usually when no staff are on (mornings or late at night). I know what it feels like as a player when you’re trying to have fun playing but there’s a mass amount of hackers just waiting to kill you once you jump down. For the amount of players that play this server, I think that you need more staff members keeping the game modes clean. I for one would be able to help Moderate keeping the players happy and keeping the community free of hackers and toxic players. Even when I’m not playing Minecraft I’ll usually roam around the forums reading things and usually Moderating. Unbiased I always treat every player equally, I don’t pick favorites and even if a friend of mine is breaking a rule I have no issue banning or muting them. I know what you have to do as a staff member and being unbiased is really important. How long can you be active on the server everyday? Monday: 4-6 hours Tuesday: 4-6 hours Wednesday: 4-6 hours Thursday: 4-6 hours Friday: 4-6 hours Saturday: 5-8 hours Sunday: 3-5 hours *My activity mostly depends on how schools going, if I have a lot of homework I’ll be less active and vice versa, if I don’t have any homework I’ll be more active.* How long have you been playing Mineverse? 4 months-ish Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game) No, I've had a clean record on almost every server I've played on. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Yes: Craft Cadia I was a moderator on Craft Cadia, when I got promoted to helper the server count was around 250-400 people. Around 3 months later I got promoted to Moderator where there I Moderated until I resigned about 6 months later due to personal reasons. I still continued to play the server and after about 2 months later I decided to re-apply where I got re-promoted to helper again and 2 weeks later I got promoted back to my original position as Moderator. Unfortunately the server closed down in which I was forced to resign. In total, I was a staff member on Craft Cadia for about a year. Crylin I guess you could say I was a Moderator on here, Crylin was Craft Cadia after the “change” happened. As this was pretty much the same, except we added a Practice PvP server. I didn’t like the change but I wanted the experience on Moderating a Practice Server with 250 people on it. This taught me to be patient and ignore all the spam that players were doing. It helped me become more focused on the task I was doing and it helped me get a better understanding on hacked clients as I watched a few screen shares. Zirone Network I was a helper on Zirone where it averaged about 20-100 people and peaking at around 200 when streamers were on. I liked the community and I loved playing with the other players which lead me to applying to become staff which I did. I’m still currently staff on Zirone but I’m not as active due to the low player counts so there isn’t really a need for me to be on the server. Forums I’ve moderated plenty of forums similar to this and I don’t think it would be a problem getting me started on Moderating these forums as I already know how to ban people, give out warning points, locking and moving threads and using the multi-mod tools to accept / deny reports etc. TeamSpeak As well I have Moderated quite a few TeamSpeaks so I would be experienced with Moderating the TeamSpeak, banning toxic people and giving out warnings, while also helping Moderate in-game and on the forums. Do you meet the requirements for staff? 50 Post Count- Yes Factor Authentication - Click here to set up 2FA. - Yes 2 Weeks registered on the Mineverse forums - Yes Moderators are required to have Skype or Teamspeak 3 for offline communication. - Yes, have both. Outro I know my post count on the forums is low and I’m working on becoming more active, reporting more hackers and interacting more within the community. As well as becoming more active in-game (I play a lot of other servers and games). As well as getting to play different gamemodes (as I only play OPPvP and KitPvP to catch hackers). If you put no support could you could give a reason why and tell me what I should work on and I'll try my best to work on those things. Thanks. Shottey~
Well made application, unfortunately... I have never witnessed your acquaintance on this forum. Be more active I suggest, no support until then.
Neutral. Your application, though it covers many key points, is lacking creativity. If you could explain to me what you would bring to the moderator team, I will reconsider my answer. for now, Good Luck ;)
Neutral You have a really well made application, but I have never seen you in game. Try being more active on all gamemodes, and on forums. Neutral for now. Good luck!
No Support -Never seen you in game, even though we have the same time zone. -You meet the requirements, but barely. -Not active on the forums. -Become more knowledgable with the forums. -You make a lot of reports, while not the only thing they take into consideration, it is a factor; keep up the consistency and amount you do. When you feel you have improved upon some or all of these things do not hesitate to contact me in game or on the forums so I can reply again with my thoughts. Good luck!
-The only requirment I barely meet is my post count, I'm working on it. -I am active on the forums, just don't have a lot of posts -Elaborate on that please? -Thanks, I'm trying.
Then post on the forums more, not post farming, leaving your thoughts and giving feedback etc. Become more knowledgable in how the forums, and the server works as a whole.
