Kit PvP Revert to the old map?(suggestion)

Well, I love the current map of kitpvp, but I think ./warp oldspawn would be a better fit for the current player base. Kitpvp on a low time has 0-10 ppl online, and when its poppin it has around 20-35 ppl online. ./warp oldspawn would be better for the current player base because it is more compact. I usually have to run around the map to find someone because it is very large, but at ./warp oldspawn it is more compacted.I don't suggest getting rid of the current map, but maybe keeping it incase the player count rises. If you do decide to revert to the oldmap I think mods should get rid of some of the decorations there and the beacon.

 

Great suggestion. I would love to see the old map be the main map without the "new" stuff they added to it like the decorations around castle.

No support. The old map was getting old because I played on it for 7 years and it needed a change. The way it is right now where you can /warp oldspawn and /warp oldoldspawn is good for the game so when you get tired of the new map you can always fight at the old map.

I disagree with this. Having to load more than one map makes the server lag like crazy. I have played on the server just as long as you and can't say that I am sick of the old map. It's got a better theme in my opinion, it's got better terrain for pvp, and from most people I have talked to (regardless if they are newer or OG players) say that they like the /warp oldspawn better. Support.

 

the map needed a change but at the same time you make good points abt the old map itself, nostalgia and especially it being more compact so neutral.

 

1st you have not played nearly as much as me. 2nd I agree that the old map was better for pvp. Although the new map looks better its not better for PvP. The old map could have just been upgraded. For instance, make the UFO and cannons added onto the old map and transport some of the new map builds into the old map and do a little more terraforming and it will be good.

I don’t know why people are saying the new map is ‘too big’ it’s literally so much smaller because you have all of the water and the grass at normal spawn and then you have the entire old spawn dome.

 

idgaf about if it's small or big. Old map from 2015-2016 should be back. I miss those and those were the prime of kitpvp in my opinion as a 2013 player.

 

I agree with Toad, you should add a few things in from the new map and take them to the old map and remove the new one.

 

2015 - 2016 map is so terrible. All it was is flat ground with 1 block deep water EVERYWHERE no buildings, no floating islands, and nothing cool to fight around. The new map has many great features and builds like the healing plates and 'The Pit'. If they added in the village from the new map into the old map (far left of spawn) it would be amazing. They could also implement the Pit somewhere near spawn in the water or on the mainland. The old map's terrain overall was good but the builds were a bit basic. If the new maps builds and features were implemented into the old map I believe a lot more people would be satisfied with the map overall.
