Thank you! Its not really, It makes the game funnier and gives people more of a reason to donate. Reasons?
But it also turns off a lot of people from playing who are too poor to afford to pay for a rank. I believe in equality of skill, not who has the bigger bank account wins.
The only reason we probably lost so many players is because we didn't get the income of people only donating for cool perks and couldn't get new minigames and other things. If we had Pay2Win perks on, I would just leave since it would be pretty unfair to the people who can't afford to pay for a rank.
As I said on another thread like this we could easily add a way for everyone to get a new rank. Add an NPC or a system that allows us to purchase things from the Mineverse online shop with our rubies. That makes it so that the server isn't really Pay2Win. It's more of you can choose to Pay2Win or you can Work2Win. Oh and Support :p
It's still more of a Pay2win system if you can purchase upgrades. I like the idea of Work2win though and I think there could be the potential to release things on the market that you can pay for that will change the way a game is run in a minor fashion. I don't support any of this, pay for kits on kitpvp or if we had, for example, survival games, a purchasable perk that allows the user to come back from the dead and kill people.
Pay to win ruins gameplay. Donors trump f2p players severely. If anything, this turned me away from the server, it didn't encourage me to donate.
Support! I saw this on another thread, but if they cannot bypass EULA, why not make all ranks available for everyone to receive, but very hard to earn. Such as a certain amount of money on a game will give them a certain rank, (Most likely the first two ranks) or in skyblock for example, having certain rules to be able to receive it such as having to own the island and be at a certain level, you get a rank or if it's high enough, a rank upgrade. Just a quick suggestion.
