I'm not saying reports need to be made over such little 'inactivity', but I guess it would anger someone if the person who banned them was inactive and the person was forced to wait(especially if it was a false ban). I still don't agree with reporting mods over it though. That's ridiculous. I've read over what some people have said, and I'd like to extend on something. There is obviously going to be expectations for mods- and there clearly set high by the community. By making a staff application and raising your hand to become staff, you believe you can reach them standards. Even more so, perhaps some staff are 'too big for their boots' to say (I don't mean that in a rude manner, please don't take offence). What I mean by this is maybe some of the new staff are jumping into 'punishments' or rushing too much due to these expectations. I'm not going to name names or anything, but maybe, just maybe, they are being too strict at times they shouldn't be, while not strict enough at times they should be. The main thing that gets me, is why do players think they can just 'judge' someone like this? More then a mod, they are people too. Face up- grow up. I don't know where people think they have the RIGHT to treat NORMAL PEOPLE so rudely and arrogantly, and insult them in such a offensive manner. Yes, people are entitled to their opinions, but DAAAYUUM, people need to learn when to express them, and even more so, how to express them. To those who are doing these rude acts, You look childish and stupid. Grow up. Thanks, Gizz.
This is incredibly true. People thinks mods are robots They should be able to work twenty four seven, things should never come up in their lives, and they're supposed to take the crap thrown at them like it's constructive criticism. And it's not. All the people who put so much time into getting mods demoted, into hating on them, it just shows their character and childish devotion to ruining what other people have
It's not even that, it is purely just people knowing that mods are a 'higher position' but treating mods like they are a lower position. People are just simply too big for there boots, and sadly, mineverse allows players like this to ruin the experience for others.
There's only one problem Gemma with your claim. Its that you see this from a moderators perspective with a server with like, 50 mods. Here, when people cut slack, we complain, a lot. Although your not used to this, because on .net when someone slacks for a while someone else could easily take their place whilst they are gone and you still run smoothly. You just can't see it from our perspective. We don't hate each other like you stated, we just have alot more reports and alot less help leading to stress and anger.
Here's a solution. More mods. But until that happens, try to realize that not everything is the mods fault, and cut them a *little* slack.
Thank you so much gemma. I thought I was alone in this idea. I had no way to put my thoughts into words like you did.
It may be just me, but this gave me chills. Thinking about how tough the Moderators are. And how well you understand what they might go through. Very well done, Gemma. Like I said, this thread gave me chills, as I thought to myself how many selfish people there are, who only think about what they want. Considering the lack of respect these moderators get. I believe in these moderators, I believe that they will do good for the server. Thank you for making this. And thank you to all of the moderators. <3
Most definitely! Haven't seen you on the server though. What's your IGN? I hope to see you on the server!
Not saying anything bad or what so ever, but it's not just that Gemma knew this stuff... I think we all did, but Gemma had the BALLS to post a thread with such maturity- Thankyou
