So I would like to address the issue on hackers on Mineverse. I can across the bukkit plugin Reporter and decided that we should give it a try. This command allows player to report hackers on the go. How does this work? The command can be used by players by doing /report [Player Name] [Offence] Do you think it's a good idea?
Great idea, I've seen it on others servers but they have many more mods and there are always mods on. Mineverse on the other hand dosnt have many mods.. Support anyway ;)
I presume this is the plugin. http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/reporter/ So the plugin logs reports on players correct, but does not store evidence, how could it. If there were staff online they could check the report log, but what good will it do? If a reported player is on at the same time as the staff, sure, the staff could try to obtain evidence on the report player. But again, since you are leaning towards public access to the command, how do you know that this reported player was a victim of bullying or false accusations? Another issue under the public access category. Unless the command is set to have a cool down (of course I know of the chat cool down), anyone could abuse the command. Spamming it with fake reports. I could imagine there would be so many reports in the system, that the plugin will become unresponsive due to the amount of reports the plugin has to check every time a staff member goes through the system. That could only take days to do, maybe hours if the player is determined. Have you ever tried /baltop in prison? My apologies, Fuse. I'm neutral on this.
