Thorns makes fights annoying and boring, the fight will be looking like the opponents is trading hits. And you can't even get a combo when your opponent is using thorns, you will only get knocked back with once you hits him
Maybe its "fun", but it destroys the pvp fun. Lots of people i know have quit because of this. And no, your armour won't break faster when you add thorns on swords.
