Forums Remove/Lower Banner Requirements

First off I can see where the owners are coming from by implementing this, but having 750 posts and 250 likes is kinda ridiculous. 750 posts and 250 likes can easily be obtained by staff and other popular members within a week, but for most people who are not known it could take awhile meeting these requirements, especially the likes requirement. For example, I've been here for over 3 years (this is my 2nd account) and I'm not even close to the requirement.

Reducing or removing the requirement will make the forums a little more exciting for most of the people who use it and would allow most people to make their profile more appealing.

This doesn't really matter to me, as if this somehow got implemented (any JazzMagic suggestion is thrown out) then I probably won't use it any way, I'm just advocating for everyone else who can't meet the requirements.

 

Even thought I don't even meet them, I like having the requirements because it's like a reward for loyal members. And it kind of feels like an accomplishment when it is achieved.

The banner is something you're suppose to earn, by being dedicated to the forums and active.
And honestly, I'm decently well known and I've only been on the forums for a year and a half. And I am still far away from getting the banner, I need like 70 likes or so.

 

It gives forum users a challenge.

 

Let me use an example, lets say you have twitter, should they make it where you have to get 750 tweets and 250 likes to get the banner on your profile?

 

Yeah! Great idea! People will stay on Twitter longer and more frequently in order to complete challenges like that.

 

Having the challenge to get a banner makes it fun, and gets you attracted to our forums. Lowering it will have more users achieving this and possibly leaving afterwards. The owners don't want you to leave our server or forums, so they want to keep you as long.

No, just because YOU don't meet the requirements, doesn't mean you need make a suggestion about it.

I highly doubt this will be added since it currently is purchasable. It's a premium feature. If you really want it, just buy it. Also, as others have said, it's nice having some rewarding achievements along our stay here on the forums

 

I'm even going to try to meet the requirements, I don't care enough to. I made the post when I saw another suggestion suggesting to make a feature that had a post/like requirement. I always thought the requirement to this was unfair, but I never posted it, and posted it when I made this post to try to make something good happen on here.

Not going to waste my money on it, but the way it is now, it would be a good income for the server for people to buy it (if premium is ever sold again or this is purchasable by itself) .


Anyway you guys can stop roasting me, I posted this about a month ago and it's obvious that people don't want this. I thought this was a good suggestion for those who are active but are not popular on here (a lot of people), and all the popular people posted on here xD. I'm not active anymore, but I'll keep posting suggestions whenever to help the server, just for it to get bashed by the community even if they support it if it was made by a popular person or mod.

By the way, a mod may close this, it's quite obvious this thread doesn't need to be open anymore.
