      Preface
Mineverse's Dubtrack has always needed updating and unfortunately still does; it has undergone a few updates in the span of months, addressing downdubbing--which no longer affects how moderators judge if a song should be skipped--as well as creating a ridiculous problem: enforcing songs being played to only be able to apply to seven genres. I have made a previous thread which had seemed to be completely in vain, so I am making this updated list of issues in hopes of having them addressed.

      Issues
      English songs only -
Why the hell is this even a rule? What difference does it make if a song is in another language? This rule has frustrated me for some time and seeing that it hasn't been removed is irritating to me. Music in other languages can be just as enjoyable and even more so than English music and there is literally no reason for this rule to need to exist.

"Adhere to only these genres" -
I get it; not everyone likes one genre and this rule was implemented solely to make sure that the majority of everyone is happy with the music choices--except the minority (essentially anyone who likes rock or any other genre that isn't rap, electric, or pop). Mineverse is a diverse community with people who like music from across the entire genre spectrum and its Dubtrack should reflect and praise that diversity. Everyone should be represented and as such should be free to choose whatever they want to play. People should not have to be scared of playing music that doesn't fit into this awful rule just because the Dubtrack wants to pander to people who only play mainstream genres. There are other Dubtracks that play these particular genres anyways; there is no reason to bring that kind of enforcement here.

I also understand that more genres can be added but this still implies that there will always be genres that are disallowed and I think that's absurd. The rule should be removed, period.

      "No cursing" -
This rule is controversial but from my point of view, if a song that contains a massive amount of explicit content and language in it is free to be played, why can't we cuss in chat? It doesn't harm anyone and is useful to express frustration and anger (though should be forbidden to be used against other members, of course). I think it should also be noted that an overuse of cursing should be disallowed; just have the leisure of occasionally cussing.

      "No overly suggestive things" -
This mainly applies to rap. The rule is hardly enforced and extremely suggestive content should be watched out for, if it's paying attention to the lyrics or just watching the video. What's the point of the rule if it's never used, even though there are always multiple instances of it being broken?

"Songs must be kept under six minutes" -
Songs now can be up to seven minutes long (and should be kept that way); just a small rule that needs updating.

      "No advertising other Dubtracks" -
Add a period at the end. That's it.

      Rules to Add
"Maintain a casual and friendly environment in chat." -
Self explanatory. Helps to sum up how people should behave while in the Dubtrack.

If need be, more can be added (to issues as well if pointed out). Feedback is always appreciated.
Would also be nice to have a Dubtrack prefix for suggestions.

I can edit it to allow songs that have English and another language inside it, but I won't be allowing song fully in another language since the DT is english.

The rule had to be added because we had to remove the rule, "If a song get's 7 down dubs it's skipped." The rule was abused, so we had to put something in place to have some control over the room.. Isn't something we initially wanted to do, but it had to be done. Like you said, genres can be added. It's impossible to please everyone.

Cursing is something that is not allowed on Mineverse, therefore not allowed on dubtrack. Also, cursing is frowned upon the Dubtrack site as well by admins. Regarding the "songs with cursing can be played, but not chat" I understand the confusion today, but we cannot help that 99% of songs today have cursing. You can mute the song, but you cannot turn the chat off.

It's an enforced rule, if you see it not being enforced please contact me.Note: This mostly regards to suggestive images in the video.

Alright, thanks for the clarification on some things; I see where you're coming from now. Your thoughts on English songs are agreeable enough and I would appreciate your suggested modification be implemented. I still do not agree that the genres are so limited and still stand by the idea that the rule should be removed altogether but in the mean time I can always just request for some genres, so not too much of a problem. Thanks for the quick response as well.

I appreciate the support from everyone else and will keep this thread open in case anything else comes up.

Honestly? I couldn't agree more. I hope these get added :) Thanks for making this thread :D
      (so yeah, big support :p)
~Yeah I see I'm a bit late but I'm very stubborn and I still want to show that I'd like many more genres added :D
