Yes, I understand that people are welcome to rate things freely as long as it isn't abuse of the permission, but here is a quick fix to a problem I've seen. Basically what this thread is about is removing the rating feature on applications, I understand that you use ratings to show the poster what you think but honestly I've seen some times where it gets overused and abused by forum users to the point where there isn't even a point to having the ratings available.

When you rate something it's supposed to have meaning, whether it's to show the user is being rude or just to express that you like something, I find it unnecessary when it becomes abused and a Moderator shouldn't have to divide their time because you want to have some petty argument on an application and rate abuse. Of course I think ratings would've been fine on applications but if you're going to allow users to even look at applications(Most servers don't), the least you can do is keep the comments a bit more professional and lessen down the reports for rate abuse as most occur on applications.
