;) I love Python. I'm new to programming, and I started with Python, as when you start it, it's easy to get the swing of, and will teach the fundamentals, about white space, etc. A lot of math operators and (general) operators in Python are similar to the majority of languages. It all depends on what software you want to make; if it's iOS apps, go for Swift. (Not objective-c). If you want to make Windows applications, go for a variation of C or VB. If you want to make android applications, I believe those are powered with Java. If you want to make games, then the language to learn is C++. I study Media Gaming, a BTEC, and the language that is suggested we learn is C++. Finally; if you want to make an application that virtually runs on every computer, then you should go for Java, not to be confused with JavaScript. Again, I recommend you learn Python before jumping into any languages like C. Edit; if you want a job in security, it might be worth learning SQL & PHP, there's a demand for DBAs. Hope this helps ;)
"It's what Microsoft is coded in" Yeah, no :/ If you mean Windows, that is definitely not powered / created in Java... Probably a branch of C @Zulfqar
Well, Xenforo clearly doesn't work on my phone too well, merging posts seems to have created an entirely new thread, good job Xenforo. Locking.
