I recently returned to OP PvP but I've constantly been killed by hackers that are flying with speed, Kill-aura and reach the anti-cheat is horrible and the mods aren't doing much about it
Staff can only do so much. Can't be on 24/7. Best thing to do is record them and report it so staff can handle it when they can. But I agree the anti-cheat aint very good. Needs a whole new one or to be fixed.
I've offered to give mineverse my ncp config (no cheat plus), which is the anticheat mineverse uses, yet they've skidded it to fireflylite (fflite). I believe if they accept my offer most problems would be fixed, besides some killaura. Max reach/aura hitting distance would be 4.3, but still better than 50 block reach.
yet while you were mod you sucked igivekidsl, and banned for falsely and staff members have yet replied to the thread, you were a horrific mod "demoted"
the problem is that cheaters get repeatedly kicked and not banned. some get kicked like 5 times and are able to come back without consequences LMAO
As @Vincent~ said they can't be on 24/7, plus it is summer and people are going on vacations and or working. The staff do as much as they can for the community and no one should be upset with them. There is a lot to deal with when being a moderator such as reports and the hate they receive. I get that it's really annoying and hard to play but if mods aren't online, you and others can easily download any of the free screen recording software's such as Bandicam. Doing reports really helps them out. Putting just the slightest effort makes a big difference, all people gotta do is record and report. It's even worse seeing how some of the community support the hackers, team up with them and just sit back and laugh. Finally, what really is the worse when people get mad then go onto alts to hack and start targeting people. Anyways all in all it would be nice to see the community put some effort in and help-out the mods.
Wow. A hacker thread without anyone calling them degenerate scum like the little cretins that they are. Back on topic. No Anti-Cheat is better than a bad Anti-Cheat.
I also have started a conversation in that direction. I see the same problems, but the only things that they can do is maybe a better anti cheat and maybe ban the hackers from all PvP servers when they hack on them. But they can't be on 24/7 and everyone has also obligations in real life and can't get on maybe for a day.
The mineverse team is big enough to support 24/7 moderating. And if you think that the team isn't big enough to support 24/7 moderating then expand the team! Another point, it's not the player's job to catch and ban hackers! Moderators are like security guards if someone tries to rob bank security will stop them, you don't see normal people going around stopping criminals, that's what law enforcement is for. In my opinion, the staff team should be able to catch at least 80% of hackers on their own. Now I get it that mineverse is a free service and it wouldn't hurt to waste 5m reporting a hacker to the mineverse staff team seeing as we are getting so much in return. But almost all of the time another hacker will take the first hackers place within 5m of the 1st one being banned and also most active players I see on this server have spend money on this server buying things like ranks, or key This means the majority of people Mineverse staff are meant to protect from hackers are helping keep the mineverse servers running and they should get something back in return. Mineverse staff should do their best to keep the players safe and actually moderating servers is a huge step towards this goal. With all the staff members in the team, 24/7 support should not be a difficult task. If moderating over summer is such a problem get a summer staff team together so they can moderate in place of the missing staff members. The staff team can't just give up on your player base! The current anti-cheat actually often kicks and bans players making it worse than no anti-cheat they can't be on 24/7 I get that but why are almost all of them offline 24/7, on average all the staff combined are quite literally online 30m a day
