I was wondering, in Prison on MineVerse servers (not OP Prison), how do you set up a shop to sell stuff? I've been searching online and also within the game and I have not figured out how to rent/buy space for a shop. Not sure what kind of commands to use since the general help does not give hints from what I can find. I think they are called plots (not sure). It looks like there are a few open and unclaimed plots near the ends of the shops (no signs and nothing is placed in them). Any help would be greatly helpful! Thanks! Blue
You need a chest, place a sign on/near the chest with this format: First line: Your in-game name Second line: Amount to buy/sell Third line: Buy/sell price Fourth line: Item Example: Clxrity 1 B 50 (put S if you want it to be a sell price) Diamond
Ok.. Thanks! That is really good to know. But how do you place the chest? Do you have to buy or rent a "plot" before you can place it in the shop area? I tried to place an empty chest before and it would not allow me to do that in an area where the plot was unclaimed (from what I could tell). Thanks!
You have to own a plot before you can place a chest in one, yes. The only time you can place blocks as a non-free prisoner is on a plot (that you have to rent). Plots are rarely open for rent, and will generally be fairly expensive. Generally, prisoners do not get plots because they want to save their money to be free. You can tell if one is available to rent by the sign on the plot.
Ok... taking a guess I am thinking that if a plot is available then there will be an empty sign that you can then click on and then rent the plot?? Here is a screen print of the "empty" plots that I am seeing... they are by a few of the the main entrances and have no signs. I was thinking that perhaps they were available but I'm starting to think they never are available?

Great to know and explains why as "b" I'm not able to do anything with these. Ok... thanks everyone! At least now I know and I can return to focusing on mining and tree farming!
Those are empty plots but they are not available to rent. The plot must have a sign on it. If the plot is available for rent, it will say For Rent in green and have a price per 3 days. The ones that are rented will say rented in red, have the player's name that has it rented, and when their rent expires. There are also cells that can be rented in the D pvp area on the first 3 floors. You can do the command /as findrent and it will take you to the nearest cell for rent. They are quite small and very expensive, but it will give you a place to store your items.
