Hey guys (and gals). I want to ask y'all a question that's been brewing in by brain for sometime now. Do you guys think it's fair for moderators to get chosen/asked to moderate on this server from skyblock e.t.c? There are some players that has been playing for months let alone year(s) and put up applications and don't get chosen (I won't give any examples but you know who you are)! Now, it might be because of a certain reason, I dunno. I know the new mods are great as they are but I just want to know what we think. My point I'm trying to say is that if it's fair for certain people to get undercut by new mods. Comments below! Disclaimer: Do not "dislike rate" what I'm saying all I ask for is comments. Be nice.
Maybe its because Cypriot thinks Skyblock.net moderators are trustworthy for the job, although it does seem like under cutting maybe people that apply here are not worthy enough of the job as of yet? Usually Cyp doesn't choose people that like just made an application. I am not quite sure though.
People don't realize, making an application doesn't mean you'll get accepted. When you make an application, you're going for a volunteer sense and can be dropped at any time if you're felt to be doing the wrong thing, or messing up. As for the actual promoting, it's nowhere near what you think. If someone applies, everything is taken into consideration, but keep in mind, we don't have the time to sit here reading all 3 billion applications, so the more support, although it may not be what helps, but it will indeed show exactly who can prove you've done things on the server and will keep it bumped. Red flags aren't hard to come by in apps, and childish people aren't hard to ignore their app when it comes down to it, but in the end, why do people care who's promoted? It's done on Cyp's end for a reason, it doesn't matter who gets promoted, just be happy people are being promoted. A very clear example of this would be IN1NJAI, immature and childish, yet he still applies. Him coming on the server, being rude to specific individuals and so on, commenting where comments aren't needed, that's the sort of stuff that gets noted without actually telling them. And to be rather fair, it's done just fine. I don't see what people are complaining about when it comes down to it, mods are being promoted, big deal. It's different each time. And by the way, time on the server doesn't help 100%, experience and knowledge of how the person works can easily help with promoting new mods, which is very obvious in Larry and Taylors case, moderating three of crews servers prior, but obviously not moderating here until promoted. When you tell them NOT to dislike something, they're going to obviously dislike it bro.. Anyways, I don't think it matters if Skyblock Mods apply here or are asked to moderate here. If they are trusted, and have experience, and are willing to do it, they will. Cypriot doesn't choose just any mod, he chooses those who have experience, those he trusts, such as Larry and Taylor. (Taylor and Larry sounds better :t: ) They moderate 3 servers like Terrick said :p
