I was on creative and all of a sudden people start mentioning there names and birth dates and telling there grades... A person ParkourSlayer started arguing with me saying stuff like SJW Social Justice Worker i think and then he starts mentioning inappropriate words and i warned them you never know if someone is selling your info while you say it but he got even worse so i left and im reporting it to stop it.
SJW means Social Justice Warrior, just so you know. I agree, people shouldn't be leaking their information on the internet so carelessly but I honestly doubt anyone is going to be selling other peoples information on Mineverse unless they're really well known. :p This isn't the spot for this thread, it should be in discussion. Could a moderator please move this?
It is up to the player whether or not he/she's information is "leaked". However I do not support this as well either. But tbh as long as you don't give your skype to people you don't know you should be safe. (skype is the easiest way to ddos and dox someone)
I agree, it's stupid to give out your own personal information online. But it isn't against the rules.
Whenever I talk about irl with some random person in-game, 99% of what I say isn't true. :P I kinda feel like an actor when I portray someone I'm not.
I met someone on creative who gave out his address to somebody he didn't even know in real life. Dangerous stuff.
They're entitle to give out their information if they wish, but what isn't right is if someone else gives out someone else's information without their permission. But I do agree, that giving out your information isn't a good idea.
I mean half the people on skyblock know my birthday, age and name lol Like, as long as you're not giving a full name, address or school or place of work name, you'll be fine
Thought this was common sense however by reading this it clearly isn't. Giving out personal information can be dangerous, not everyone is who they say.
I agree. You never know what psycho's are out there.. Warning to all under-age kids, please don't leak personal info..
That information alone can actually be dangerous, and can help someone you don't want finding you to narrow down the search. Anyways, I personally think that it's stupid to release more than your first name.
he's actually giving a proper point, where as you never amount to anything worthwhile. So just don't. -=- I do agree, but people can be ignorant, and not fully understand the dangers of some personal info. Sure, the first name of your irl name or your DOB is all good, but your address and other private information can attract some of the nastiest and crudest of people out there, who literally just stalk online servers just to get some personal info so they can toy with it. It isn't fun business, and it's definitely something you do not want to get involved with.
