It would be nice if people who take the time to actually write a reason rather than say no. So I will explain what I think. It would be nice to have a trial stage for mods then they end up with the full set of moderator perms. However mineverse isn't the kind of server where you would want to restrict mods too much or they cannot perform their duty. If the "player mod" cannot ban an advertiser, whats the point? Having player mods or lets say "trial mods" would require a relook at all the perms or every gamemode to ensure that they are not restricted too much, but cannot cause too much hassle if they turn out to abuse permissions. Which i feel is a lot of work that in the end and I think its not needed at this time.
I think what you're trying to suggest is that we have trial mods? I think that would be a great idea, but you haven't explained it very well so I can barely understand it. When I was trial-mod on a server, we weren't allowed to play; only moderate. Our permissions weren't restricted, but we had more time to learn what to do as a Moderator, since we couldn't play.
/tempban isn't a command, it's just /ban with a time parameter so if they have any sort of ban permissions it could be abused for permanent bans.
we're only saying no because of the extensive amount of threads that have been made like this in the past. we're tired of it.
Then say no, there is many threads like this and it won't be accepted. As far as I'm aware posting in suggestions will add to the post count thus putting a one word response shouldn't be acceptable. As a matter of fact I have seen some of the same suggestions been made so many times and yet people took the time to explain an alternate solution, and express more than two letters.
I'm a little confused? We have been saying no, there have been many threads about this, and I know it won't be accepted. The only thing these players want to get out of "trial mods" or "player mods" is to have the power without having the dedication of moderator. I guarantee you every single time. If they arent thorough and don't give justifiable reasons for why they think they should add trial mod, I won't be thorough with my answer. Simple.
Should have used quotations there. Then say "no, there is many threads like this and it won't be accepted" Even if the user does not put adequate detail in their response it doesn't mean suddenly one word responses are a solution. If you feel the suggestion is terrible, don't even bother about responding. With that being said I'm not here to tell you what you can and cant respond, but I expect at least something more than a "no", it would help in all suggestions you wish to respond to if you could elaborate, could even bring up a more feasible idea
