Before I start I can already see the people going to the comments and typing furiously that being a donator or not should not affect your ban times but hear me out. About 95% of hackers I see on kitpvp & op pvp are unranked players. This means that they are probably using throwaway accounts that will just return when their temp ban is over. Most of them probably never even play the server long enough to get a rank and just want to troll once in a while and not even care if they get banned or not. Donators on the other hand, have either paid for a rank or won it by voting a lot which means they contribute to the server and are less likely to use hacks and get themselves banned with their high ranked account that they paid for. In conclusion, most non donator hackers are just there to ruin the experience of others and most likely haven't contributed at all to the server. If this is not implemented, at least make the ban times longer for non donators because literally every day I see tons of non donator hackers and the anti cheat is garbage. It often kicks you for using "reach" and barely does anything to stop the hackers. It is their choice to hack and they know the consequences. If you just come on once or twice just to hack on the server, ruin the experience of others and be toxic, you don't deserve to play on here. So the solution to the hacker problem is to keep the same ban times for donators but make non donators get perm banned. At least if the donators do it again they will know that they will be banned on their ranked accounts and that will hopefully make them not hack. If this is too unjust against non donators then we should have the ban to be permanent on all members. It is frustrating to see mods just say that they will temp ban hackers when they are reported because it is obvious that they will just return and hack again after the temp ban. If you choose to hack that's on you and you should accept the consequences as it seriously ruins the experience for everybody on the server. Also keep in mind that this is only for hacking and not for any other ban reason. Thanks for reading.
neutral leaning towards support, I feel as though a perm ban is quite extreme but I can see where you're coming from. a 3 month ban sounds more resonable
1 month/1 week ban for first offence, cuz it could just be a guy trying hacks for the first time and then never uses them again. but definitely need a perm ban for the guys like brin501 who've been fly hacking on op for 2+ years
I have to disagree. It could lead to people buying premium for example to decrease their ban time if they're caught. Also people with ranks would be more likely to hack then since they know their punishment won't be as bad as non-ranked players. The ban time has been increased to 31d for everyone, so do you want this closed since it has partially somewhat been implemented? I'm personally against perm bans so it's a no support for me. I also feel like everyone should be treated equally. Donor or not
